These people talked me into giving them my account number for a withdrawal for their "services"-they didn't mention till the last minute that they are simply sending information not facilitating a credit card with a much better interest rate.

Secondly, I cancelled the deduction from my checking account. They assured me on two separate occasions that there was no problem-the transaction would NOT go through. Then they went ahead and deducted the money putting my account in arrears and making every check I had written bounce.

When I contacted them they denied deducting the money and demanded proof. I faxed them the bank statement showing not only the deduction but the rapidly mounting bank fees.

I could not cover my checks, their deduction and the bank fees so the problem kept escalating. I was told that the minute they got the fax they replaced the original amount-another lie-they did not replace any money whatsoever until I threatened legal action and it was 19 days later.

By this time the fees were astronomical and to date they owe me $458.00 plus another $100in end user fees for singlehandedly destroying my account, my credit and my community standing.

I have been hung up on, lied to, over and over again by their personnel.I would like to know what government agency to contact to file against this company. They are certainly doing the same thing to others as they have done to me.What recourse do I have? Does anyone know?

Agency to contact

AUTHOR: Carson - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, April 10, 2002

I am an investigator for a consumer affairs office.

The proper agency to contact is the Arizona State Banking

Department. They have jursidiction over all state chartered banks and lending institutions. Their phone number is
1-800-544-0708. Good Luck
