While driving my kids home from school a commercial comes on the radio saying, "if your kid wants to be on television with their favorite disney star, call now!" So my 8 yr old son pleads with me to call. I call. We meet with the "agency" on Saturday evening in the ballroom of the Hilton Hotel here in St.Louis Mo.

When we arrive, they handed us a script and form to fill out with my sons information. So far it seems legit. Then they put on a presentation that's about 15min long over a projecter sreen of these kids in the talent industry. My brows are raised because as they're showing this, I've already searched the company name on my smart phone and nothing comes up. There's a Premier Events but no Premiere Event. So, I decided to still stay and hear them out because my son says he wants this sooo bad.

When the presentation is finished, there was a very attractive woman speaking very hynotically to the crowd. She mentions that they're based in Phoenix Arizona. I searched the company name in Phoenix and nothing comes up. As a business owner, if someone searches my name(not just my business name)...it comes up multiple times in the search engine. Their business not showing up in the engine is a red flag! I still went along with it just to make my son happy.

The nex day, after being told to call to check if he's chosen, I recieve a call saying that they wanted to meet with my son again. I say ok. They give me instructions on what to do and then say they want to set my son up in Level one. Level one is a "level" in the program that is supposed to allow him 2 showcases of his talent to possible casting agents etc. Level one costs only $1950 or 4 payments of $550. I think...bullshit. I told her I wasn't prepared to pay and she says, well we're not going to meet with your son today then. I say ok, and it's over.

My point is for parents to pay close attention to the information given and research it. Don't be so desperate! They have Salena Gomez or Ariana Grande or one of those disney girls say on a vid, "I think events like these are great" and so forth, but she never mentions the name Premiere Events. She could have been speaking of any event. Use your head people! Or just do it to make your kid know that you support them on what they want to do, but then be done with the bs! Good day!
