Well to start with I like the service, but the marketing opp sucks. Virtually none of the little catches were explained to me by the person who signed me up. I've been consistently quoted wrong figures. When I asked all the uplines and her specific questions regarding payment, and all these crazy strings attached, I was either totally berated, responded to in a hostile manner, or no response at all.

You're told to rush out and sign three other people up so your commissions aren't small within 45 days otherwise you have to sell 25 memberships to increase it. Your told "for a hundred dollars you can start your own business, how much woudl you pay for a franchise, how much woudl you, blah blah blah" when then they turn aroudn and can cut you off if your "persistency" aka, membership volume becomes to low for a given period.

When I asked how in the world three other people who have never heard of us before woudl be able to be CFT qualified "Certified field trainer" if they have no idea what the hell they're talking about, and that that was unreasonable, I was just totally shut down. They try to take 99-249 per person for this signup as well. So if you can't find 3 hyper people to just shell this out on false pretenses, then you're financially penalized until you sell 25 memberships. Your first won't even get to you as well if it's less than 20.00 commission. I was told I'd be paid the next day by the woman I signed up with. Not true as well.

When I tried to address the volume of complaints I noticed and inflated rates for addt'l services my brainwashed upline stated "it is because of people trying to short sell the stock Harland Stonecipher addressed this" . That's ridiculous. That's pure manipulative brainwashing and cult tactics. It reminds me of the types of answers you get from Jehovah's witness or Mormons when confronted with facts about their movement that they can handle.

Maybe there is a portion that applies to, but definitely not all. That's just like someone saying at the other end of the pendulum that all the positive reports are from paid employees which is just as ridiculous as well. If you actually believe that you're totally a lost cause and just really willing to believe anything. A portion yes, but not all.

The real money for PPL seems to be in getting hyper people to attend meetings each which costs you money that goes to them, tools(magazines and dvd's, pamphlets) that also cost you money, and fanatically go after all the other "qualifications" to market other plans.

They even say "Ignorance on fire" etc., which is horrific considering the seriousness of a legal plan and the need it is trying to address. If someone can't discuss a plan intelligently, why would you consider getting it.

Every direct question I've asked has gone unanswered and all I get is this arms length smoke and mirrors bullshit of rehearsed company rhetoric regarding it being a NYSE stock exchange company. All that's great, but that still doesn't answer the specific questions I've asked.

There is no accountability for associates who go out and flat out lie. they get you all whipped up trying to talk to someone and then try to refute it by how their very lawyeresque contracts are written when someone misquotes something and states "They are independent" etc. meaning it's all on them, sorry our hands are blah blah. So it's cool to take someone's money... and they're all ears to sign someone up and take their cash, but specific questions don't seem to be things they are good at answering.

Although their payouts are tied to memberships, their structuring is identical to an aggressive MLM where the real money lies squarely on replication of associate statuses who they liken the relationship to of a broker and agent. Really shady marketing "Opportunity"

Persistency.. Meetings.... Uplines....

Just put it all out onthe table before you sign someone else up and don't make it overly simplified. There are significant little catches to this. They emphasize leveraged income but all that income lies on overrides from memberships and associate overrides from peole you sign up. Since 50% of all memberships are canceled within the first year, you are constantly on the run to accomodate matriculation otherwise it just doesn't bring you in anything.

I've never had an experience where I've benefited so much from a service as a member and have nothing but good things to say, but found the business portion of it to be such a total batch of overcomplicated horseshit and disconnected deceptive manipulation. There's a real disconnect on several aspects of it that really need to be brought up to speed and advertised more accurately with a better disclosure of expectations and payouts.

Why is it so hard to just not market this like medical and dental insurance? If misinformation by associates causes such significant damage to the company reputation, why not go with somethign that has much more accountability and credibility with clear cut straight commissions?

This is just my personal experience, opinions, and thoughts. As a consumer I wanted to share this in hopes of getting feedback if this an isolated incident, an inaccurate conclusion, and the product of a hypothesis that is missing components.

I just need other consumer input so I know what to do next.

Whatever..... Good service, horrible "opportunity"

Promotional DVD

AUTHOR: Kearns - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, August 31, 2010

I watched their recruitment DVD awhile back. One of their top founders threatened to sue a dry cleaning company for a $12 dispute. I laughed aloud amongst the small group of potential recruits. It was the most ridiculous thing.... poor judgement by the co. to think a $12 shakedown from their millionaire founder would have us common people signing on the dotted line. Ridiculous.

Brian Carruthers has lost his touch

AUTHOR: youtube foward slash derrickjenkins - (USA)

In the connection magazine for PPL brians group in California suffered a huge decline. One month they had almost 3 pages covered then shortly after that they had maybe a half of a page. No wonder his hair is falling out at each convention.

Get a better upline

AUTHOR: Adam.mcmillan, Ppl Associate - (U.S.A.)

I have been involved with Pre-Paid Legal services for a short time now. I was quite reluctant to become involved at first. When I first started I wasn't really sure what I was doing. It wasn't a problem with the product, but a problem in the sense that I just didn't know all there is to know about the services. I would assume that this is a common issue among new associates. The way I was able to overcome this was to stay in touch with my upline and attend the meetings.

Not everyone in the upline is going to be a huge help. if that is the case, just move past them to the person above an so on until you find someone that will answer your questions. When I signed up for the business side of PPL, my upline provided me with contact info for several PPL Associates that have achieved extreme success. Brian Carruthers is featured on the promotional DVD and has been involved with PPL for 11 years. He recently cleared $13Million in proffits. Glenn Davis has been involved only since November of 2008 and has established a network of over 600 people. If I have any quesion concerning PPL, I call one of them. My question is sure to be answered.

The meetings might take up some of your free time, but if you attend them regularly in the beginning, you will pick up so much more info on the product, as well as, how to grow your business. The conference calls and little meetings do get repetitious after you learn the basics, but the best meeting anyone can attend are the super saturday functions. (Assuming that all uplines have access to these) That is where you can talk to people that have reached success in many ways and they will share with you their experiences that led them to the top.

It is unfortunite that you had a bad experience with the Pre Paid Legal opportunity. If you would have had a stronger upline, i would almost guarantee a different outcome. Although PPL is not for everybody, anybody is capable of achieving huge success. It's just a matter of how hard you are willing to work to see it. At the Super Saturday function, Darnell Self said in his speech that the only way you will succeed is by experiencing rejection when you market the product. He said that there is nothing easy about the money you stand to make. If it was easy, every one would be rich from it. But you have to push your self through the down times to experience all the good.

I would recommend PPl to anyone and everyone, but note that it is not a "get rich quick" opportunity. But if you give it a fair chance, the possibilities are endless.
