To Distressed Job Seekers:
I am sure that alot of you have been looking for work in this stressed job market and you went to Craig's List or other job board. And you found Prestige Marketing on how they are expanding and need more independent contractors in the Home Depot's across Southern California. Well now it is time to turn away.
You will be wasting your time and going to a dumpy office in Sherman Oaks where the interview will be held and interviewed by Nikou. She will ask you a series of questions and at the conclusion of the interview. She will tell you that they will call in a few hours to invite you back for a second interview.
This happened to me, I applied for the position wentt through the 1st and 2nd interviews. They have you sign a disclaimer that you are not going to be paid during the shadowing process. I went to Home Depot in Hollywood and followed the interviewer and watched what he did.
Then he interviewed me and one other potential salesman, my interviewed went well and he would call Nikou and they would make a decision if they would hire me. I got home and found that he had left a message and I did not get the job.
I have been recently researching some of this potential marketing companies and a few of them have turned up to be rotten apples. It seems that Craig's List is getting very bad to search for a job went all of the postings are 75% scams.
Again to all prospective job seekers when you see this job ad, run away as fast as you can.

Your posting is incorrect. We do not pay when a project sells. Home Depot is responsible for sales, we merely run and manage all in-store promotions. They pay our representatives performance incentives for CONFIRMED leads. This is common across the lead generation industry. Sales play no factor into the pay, hence it is not a 100% commission, door-to-door sales position as you are trying to make it seem to be.
False accusations, slander, and defamation are attacks at a company 9 times out of 10 done by an upset ex-employee, such as Jonathon Linder.
Hopefully astute job applicants will know to evaluate the position for themselves before believing everything they read on the internet.

Prestige Marketing Inc, (15335 Morrison Str Suite 306, Sherman Oaks, CA 91403, 818-907-9504) located in the Los Angeles area, appears be an affiliate of Smart Circle International. Prestige's website states "The client base for Prestige is currently with the home improvement industry and its retail venues.
Research the employment advertiser before committing time and money (transportation costs) to an interview. Beware of employment advertisements which appear "too good to be true".
You will be paid minimum wage or commission, whichever is higher, for getting customers inside of Home Depot stores to agree to a free in-home Consultation for kitchen remodeling. Of course, you would be paid the commission only if the customer actually signs up and pays for kitchen remodeling.
