I guess the term "buyer beware" is something i should have been aware of. I'm writing this in the hopes of keeping others from going through what I've been going through by sheer stupidity on my part.

In April of 2001 I purchased car which i should really call a lemon from this dealership. Having made far to many mistakes in my youth my credit was shot. The finance manager came up with a way for me to purchase the piece of @#$&. In doing so I stupidly signed two contracts. A blank one which as it was explained to me was just in case and the one i thought was going to be the actually payment agreement.

Now i must tell you that in contacting this dealership regarding my signing 2 contracts they will swear up and down that having a customer sign a blank contract is not part of their standards of operating procedures, but my neighbor was their and witnessed my doing this, even after he told me it wasn't a good idea to do. Anyway, I had requested disability insurance, which brought my payment to around 297 a month. so when the actual contract arrived in the mail my payment was 229.89, not thinking anything of it i just started making payments to nuvell who just 5 minutes ago informed me that i could not make payments online becasue off a bank error that caused my payment to be NSF even though the bank corrected the error and sent them their payment, but i digress.

After about a year i was injured on the job. when i contacted nuvell to take use of the disability insurance i was informed i didn't have any. i then contacted preston and was informed in order to get the contract to go trough they had to change a few things. now this to the will swear up and down they didn't do.

To make a long story short i went 3 years without a job, and no disability insurance, but still had to somehow make a payment. nuvell was of no help, they claimed they could only go by the contract they were given, and preston motors claims i never had such an insurance even thought i had i witness who saw and heard me ask and sign for such.

I'm saying this to any person who finds themself in a bad credit situation and ends up at this dealership. don't make the same mistake i did. be careful of what you're signing, don't sign a blank contract, and be mindful of which finance company you end up with, cause you just might end up in a situation like i'm in. a Ford P.O.S. which Carfax claims has over 150 things that have and will go wrong with it.

in four years i've replaced the brakes 7 times, 4 sets of tires, a new motor for the heater, and just the other day the service engine soon light came on. I've put just about as much as the original price in repairs and basically i've bought this car twice and still have more payments to go. don't let this happen to you!
