I read Helga's story about PRICELINE MORTGAGE, and I couldn't believe my eyes! PRICELINE did precisely the same thing to us! Step for step, the same game, the same people running the scam--Dawn Campbell and her accomplice Stephanie Rossettos et al--everything they did to Helga, they did to us. They don't even bother changing the details of thier shell game! This is their M.O. If you're crazy enough to deal with Priceline, they'll do the same thing to you!

PRICELINE did so much to disrupt our lives that an exhaustive catalogue of all of the elements of their scheme would take ten pages to lay out. Let me simply refer you to Helga's story and tell you that they did all the same things to us; every little trick, delay, bungle, lie, mishandling, and goof-up applies to our story as well. Simply change the names and the dates (our nightmare with Priceline began May of this year, and isn't even close to over).

In addition to everything they did to Helga, PRICELINE failed set up an appraiser. We had to take of that. When the appraiser contacted PRICELINE, they LIED about the closing date so that the appraiser thought he had more time than they did. Still, the appraiser, a professional, got everything sent to PRICELINE in mere days, a full week ahead of time--but PRICELINE missed the closing date anyway, blaming the appraisers! Said PRICELINE: "We let the paperwork sit because we ASSUMED the appraiser would be late. So we figured why bother even trying." PRICELINE then began piling on the penalty fees--penalizing us for their failure to complete the paperwork by closing. (They blamed a worker's pregnancy for their repeated failures to contact us, to complete paperwork as they guaranteed, to do ANYTHING!!!) When they finally got around to sending the closing papers, they sent the papers too late to be used (the closing date had passed). The final closing costs changed every time we spoke to PRICELINE, then changed yet again when we got the papers (which we couldn't use, since the dates were incorrect), then changed again as they charged us another late fee for THEIR incompetence.

There is so much more: getting our email wrong and sending our personal loan information to persons unknown, calling us repeatedly at 4 a.m. I could write a book about our experience with this abominable company. PRICELINE will happily apologize for bungling the closing, and insist that they in no way profit from all the penalty fees they will now be adding to your closing costs. Of course, if anyone believes that line of bull, they deserve to be ripped off.

I suspect that Florida, that great harbor of "bankrupted" multi-millionaires, disallows punitive damages. But if they do not, we PRICELINE victims should consider somehow getting in contact and doing something as a group against this criminal enterprise. They need to be put out of business, and fast.

Priceline.com Mortgages (everbank)

AUTHOR: Tim - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, May 11, 2005

My wife and I have owned a few homes and have been through the loan process many times with purchases and refinancing. I have never had such a great experience with a loan company ever. My Priceline rep. Dawn Campbell, was the most thoughtful and hardworking agent a client could ask for. There was never any sales pressure and she waited until we were ready to sign up and lock in a rate, because we had concerns since it was out first time dealing with online mortgages.

I called her two or three times before I put in our application and locked and she always had time to answer any questions. I never felt rushed or pressured and she answered all the questions before we were even her client. That was a sure first for me when dealing with loan brokers. I was impressed with Dawn & Priceline from the start.

After locking in the great rate Dawn was able to get us and I do mean great rate, because it beat other online mortgages and even my local banks, I received our good faith estimate and other documents within 2 days! This is where Dawn Campbell impressed us greatly what happened next. The home was a new construction and we paid cash to build it and then roll it into a new 30yr fixed loan. I had one escrow & title already rolling. She came up with the idea of rather than having to pay twice for two escrows and two titles, she got the idea to combine them. I called my escrow company and my escrow officer didn't know how this was possible and said we HAD to have two escrows and two titles.

I called Dawn, Dawn called her and Dawn called me back in less than 10 mins. saying she got the lady to understand how to do it. Dawn SAVED us easy $2,500 in escrow and title fees that our Escrow and Title company said we had to pay twice. Dawn really helps her clients and cares about the loans. She and her processor have great communication skills and stayed in contact with us the entire time. We're in CA and they're in Florida and they always called after 9am our time to be considerate.

Dawn's processor, Jordan, did an excellent job, too. He made sure everything was signed and completed long before the lock expiration date. When my Escrow & Title company messed up on the DAY of closing by not sending Jordan a requested form that priceline requested for days, Dawn extended my lock for FREE. She said that it was beyond my control and Dawn & her manager didn't feel it was fair that I have to pay 1/8th a point to extend the lock. So they extended it for FREE.
The loan funded quickly and everything went well.

I just wanted to reply with my good experience with Dawn Campbell & Jordan and Priceline mortgages to the story above. Not only will I gladly use their services again, but I will tell my friends and family to use them, too. One bit of advice to all loan customers of any company. Get your paperwork signed and returned early, get the appraisal completed ASAP and take care of everything long before your closing date. Try and prevent any problems by getting everything completed early.
