I responded to an offer in October for Priceline Reservations Rewards where you just enter your email to receive $10 off your next reservation.

So there I am signed up for what I thought was a priceline service, but it is actually a 3rd party scam vendor.

And like many scams, it's a 'call us in 30 days to cancel or we bill monthly for eternity' deal.

But that isn't stated on the Priceline site when you enter your email and it is mentioned in the last quarter of a massive text email.

I was only able to cancel my 'membership' with the 3rd party vendor. Still asking for my $40 back for 4 months of unnoticed charges.

So watch out. Read everything.
And shame on Priceline.

AUTHOR: Stephanie - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, January 10, 2007

According to Priceline, I just didn't read enough! I don't remember clicking 4-5 times to get through the process, I'm not that patient. I remember entering my email and submitting on Priceline's site.

******************

Thank you for taking the time to send us an e-mail. We understand that you are dissatisfied with the reservation rewards offered to you for
your trip to Baltimore.

We apologize for any inconvenience. When you placed a request with priceline, we offered you a $10 Cash Back Award and invited you to sign
up for a free trial with our travel partner Reservation Rewards.

In order to accept the offer you were asked to choose one of two options to either use the same name, address and credit or debit card
information you provided for your trip purchase OR to provide new information to activate your membership. You were then asked to enter
your e-mail address twice. Immediately preceding the Yes! button used to submit your information was text that read, by entering my email address
as my electronic signature and clicking YES, I have read and agree to the Offer and Billing Details and authorize Priceline.com to securely
transfer my name, address and credit or debit card information to Reservation Rewards for billing and benefit processing or Reservation
Rewards can use the new information I provide. I understand I will be billed $10 a month. If you did not want the offer you were given a
choice that read, No thanks.

The offer as described on the website gave you the ability to "try all the benefits for free for the first month and stated, If you are 100%
satisfied during the next 30 days, do nothing. All your Reservation Rewards discounts and protection will automatically continue for just
$10 a month.

If you are not completely satisfied with Reservations Rewards, simply call them toll free at 1-888-688-5995 to let them know that you wish to cancel your monthly membership benefits. All your benefits and access will be cancelled immediately and the $10 you save is yours to keep!

To receive your $10.00 Cash Back Award just make a priceline reservation anytime in the next 3 months, send Reservation Rewards your reservation
confirmation and they'll send you $10 cash!

Sounds like you got a phishing email. I get them all the time. If it was really from Priceline, it would have been on their homepage. Good luck!
