Primecast - Connexion Equity Lifestyle Properties inc ,ELS Whole communities owned and managed by ELS are being forced to change forms of communication such as land phone, internet provider, and television, in what appears to be slamming and more Golden, Internet

August of this year, Equity Lifestyle Properties INC. (ELS) mailed a letter to each of it's residents in Golden Terrace West, a mobile home park, and other properties owned and managed by the same.  It said that ELS was looking into forms of communication that would be more ecconomical for the residant than what was currently being recieved.  At that time we thought it was nice that ELS would spend time on this, but why?  We have the choice of any dish company, the local cable company -Comcast, the local phone company - Qwest, and any internet. 

On October 5th ELS mailed out a letter again stating "Recently, you were sent a letter announing Primecast will soon deliver DIRECTV, high speed internet, and telephone services to your community over a state of the art communications network built by Connexion technologies". It went on to say "As of November 1, 2009 Comcast and Qwest will no longer offer services at your property. It is important that you call Primecast to select your new telephone, television, and internet plans. Appointment times are filling up quickly so we urge you to call as soon as possible". This letter was full of all those bullet things that a landlord says like "High speed internet with lightening fast burstable download speeds" and "The ability to upgrade to packages with even more channels at a price you'll love!" What? Who wrote this?

October 8th Comcast sent a notice That as of November 1st they would no longer be able to do any business with us because ELS has chosen a new service provider. We made a call to Comcast to verify, and they did. Then we called Qwest, and they had no idea this was going on, NONE OF THEM.    

Around this time My wife called Primecast as we, 1. wanted to know more about Primecast as we have never heard of them, and 2. wanted to make sure we would recieve what the letters from ELS told us that we would recieve if we called by November 1st. 

October 2?, Directv shows up, nice guy up from Houston. He and a crew are doing all the work for Primcast in Golden, CO.. He hooks up 3 standard box sets, and the dish. We lose High Def on our 52" 1080HD. We lose our DVR. We were told we would get one thing, the same if not better, recieved another. Called Primcast said we would have to pay $200.00 for the DVR and pay for a service charge. Seeing the state of disarray of Primcast we told the Directv installer not to install a phone line as it would not work with our Canon MX860 fax, and not to install the internet as I'm mad that they can not perform a simple service for TV's. We are not stupid. ELS has followed Connexion Technologies own Transition Support at with the aid of Primequest to gain more monies from tennants where others would see it as Slamming. Primequest is the middle man for ELS and Connexion in an effort to make an illegal practice seam ok. Wonder how the FCC will view this?

Thanks to Qwest (never thought I would say that) for not quiting. It may be for the buck but I hope it is for the free voice.
