My husband and I were interested in life insurance and had a friend working for Primerica that sold life insurance. He came over, reviewed a sample FNA, took our stats and made another appt to return with the insurance quote.

When he returned for his second appt. We revieved the FNA which was fine and somewhat useful and then we got to the "reccommendation page" which showed we could not afford the first amount of insurance neccessary to protect our family but there were other options: less coverage or additional income.

I've done Pampered Chef....but NEVER have I seen an MLM like this! You never get a straight answer from anyone. The current reps are more interesed in recruiting you than "helping" you get out of debt. Between my husband and myself we had at least half a dozen appointments and ended up with over-priced life insurance! Needless to say we cancelled the policy by stopping payment on the check before anything could go any further. I found the same 20 term life insurance policy on-line for literally HALF the cost of Primerica Life (which I couldn't find any informatin on).

What really concerned us was that there is NO specific information on-line or anywhere else regarding the mechanisms that drive this business.

My husband and I agreed a long time ago we would not take part in a job that requires us to work nights and weekends away from our family nor would we take a job that requires us to sell a product or service to our friends and family in order to MAYBE get ahead.

Other messages posted on this website try to compare Primerica to franchises like McDonalds. If I buy a McDonalds I don't think I will be required to get my friends and family to do the same in order for me to succeed. Even with Pampered Chef...I made enough additional income by doing the shows myself and simply selling the product which Primerica doesn't do.
