To make a long story short, I got charged 18.95 for something I never used or accessed.  I never saw any report and I am out $...not a friendly company.  I saw the charge on my bank statement just like this ( Reverdir866417679 Draper, UT ) thats it, well as you can see, conveniently, the last # on the contact phone number is not there... coincidence?  I think not.  So I call my card co. and they can't figure it out either...so I dial what I have of the # and start with 1 for the last digit willing to go up to 9 if need be but luckily got it at 3  1-866-417-6793 if anyone else has this problem that should help you out.   Then I get a "welcome to customer service message"...no company name, finally I speak to a real person who answers the phone "customer service" again no company name,  then asks me "20 questions" before I finally ask my 1st one and that was "what company is this, who are you?" no response, I had to ask if the rep if she was still there I thought she had hung up the silence was so long...she stammers yes so then I repeat the Q and the woman tells me it is Private Phone Agents...I say who and what and why is there a 18.95 charge to you on my account from a few hours ago...I never got an actual answer to any of this I did however get told that the 18.95 was non refundable but because I was such a valued customer she would refund 50%...keep in mind I still have no idea what this company is or what they do or why they charged me 18.95 to begin with and I got nothing from them but a headache.  I did however get 50% of my money back for something I never used, awesome...well that is a scam to me, I never used their services whatever they may be and I called within a few hours of my account being charged...any reputable company would have just said sorry let us refund your $ but usually reputable company's list their entire contact # on the statement and answer the phone using their company name proudly, well not in this instance.  BEWARE SCAM SCAM SCAM!

I have just privately emailed Joanne as she requested:

Joanne,

I am sorry, I imagine this is not your fault and also understand and agree that the live agents can only explain and answer questions when they are given all the needed information to begin with so I also apologize to the 2 agents I chatted with earlier as I am sure it is not their fault and I was a bit snappy.  I would like a full refund of $18.95 as I did not ever get a report or use this service, I am sorry for the confusion and don't understand it myself but then to have to track down the company using the incorrect and incomplete information given to my financial institution that appeared on my statement, well to put it lightly, this whole thing has just been a nightmare, a very time consuming nightmare.  I would appreciate any help in this matter, my name is xxxxxxxxxxxxx and this is my primary email address.  I look forward to hearing from you soon and getting this issue resolved quickly, thank you in advance for your immediate attention to this matter.

xxxxxxxxx

I will post any response here also, i don't want to mislead anyone, if this company can follow through and refund my $ I will make it known, though I still have no idea what it is they do so I can not give my opinion on that one way or another.  I would also like to add, the charge is one thing but to have to go through what I did just to figure out what company was charging me and for what was just ridiculous and hopefully has been resolved within the company.  The statement should show the full # and actual company name not some gibberish with a partial phone #.  The representative, Joanne, did say that has been resolved and I really hope it has because it was one big headache for me and I don't want anyone else to have to go through that.

First off I'd like to apologize. I reviewed your live chat profile and can understand your frustration. However, I cannot blame it on the agents, as they are contracted and deal with many other companies and products. Our head office takes blame for not informing them that this "revedir" issue may be coming up. We found out about it this morning when I first contacted you. We have contacted our merchant banks to deal with this issue. There are instances where customers call in to our center or use live chat, but in reality the complaint is not about our product whatsoever. Therefore, they just wanted to make sure you actually bought, were charged or that it is actually our product.  This live chat centre is clearly very large.

Also, they are instructed to not give out our address. We would prefer not to have it advertised, however I will personally give it to you in an email if you so wish. This is for obvious reasons, as we are an online company and do not have the capability to handle customer inquiries direct from our office.

Please also feel free to go to our billing page for www.privatephoneagent.com and you will see stated 5 times the charges. Every customer must fill this out before making any charges to their credit card.

Please reach out and I'd be happy to help you. However, I'd like to kindly note that the only way I can fully refund your money is by you giving me your name.

Thanks and take care,
Joanne

Well Joanne, first of all after seeing the pre-authorization on my statement as Reversedir866417679 Draper, UT with NO FULL PHONE NUMBER OR LEGITIMATE COMPANY NAME it was somewhat hard to figure out where to go to speak to one of these "live agents" you refer to but thanks, I got to waste my time and figure it out by process of elimination.  Second of all you should never "assume" anything, I should have been contacted by phone or email before I was ever charged and that did not happen, not to mention I never used your service or saw any type of report. 3rd, I did contact your LIVE CHAT after I finally figured out by dialing random numbers who this company even was and that got me absolutely no where.  I asked for the full company name, address, and why it showed up on my statement as it did.  The 1st person named Vernon disconnected our chat after asking me for more personal info which, of course, I refused to give.  The second person also Vernon, again what a coincidence, did the same.  Why would I give any information to a company that has already charged me 18.95 without my knowledge or consent and then even though I never used the service or saw whatever report I am paying for not to mention I called before my card was even charged, it was still still in pre authorization I get a 50 % refund for something I never used, really, am I supposed to be grateful?  How exactly can you explain that.  I am going to make this simple.  It is $18.95.  I did not see any report.  I did not use this service.  I WANT ALL OF MY MONEY BACK.  Why if your such a large reputable company is this so hard to do?  And if customer satisfaction is extrememly important to you as you stated, why was it so hard to even track down who you are.  To blame it on the credit card company is ridiculous, I contacted them 1st.  Also the 1st Vernon I spoke to continuously told me that this Reverdir866417679 Draper UT, was not the same as Private Phone Agent.  Well why in that case does it have the EXACT SAME customer service number, that again I figured out by process of elimination. There are just way to many things that don't add up to me.  Like why when I ask for an address is one not provided, then I just asked for a zip code still would not give it to me, and when I called the 866-417-6793 the phone is NOT even answered using your company name but just customer service by both the automated operator and the customer service rep. I don't think these are extremely difficult questions can you please explain to me why after dealing with this for over 24 hours I still don't have an answer to even 1 of them?

Hi there,

First off, I'd like to apologize about the phone number issue. As a large company, that does thousands of transactions a day, mistakes do happen. We caught this mistake within 2days as it was an error on the banking end. Credit card companies changed the number of characters you could have in a descriptor for statements. We do not hide our customer service number, our live agents gladly give it out if you'd prefer to talk to someone in person.

As for the fee, banking and visa regulations require you to state any charges directly beside where a customer fills out their credit card information. Ours states that after seven days if you have not cancelled your account, then we would assume that you are using our services and will then begin charging you our monthly fee.

Please reach out to me at privatephoneagent@gmail.com so I can personally handle this matter. Customer satisfaction is very important to us.

Thanks,
Joanne
