Prize Candle - Nancy Lyczkowski Took my $$$ but won't fill orders, wont refund $$$, won't answer emails, phone has been disconnected, and now, their website is not working. Santa Monica CA - also Internet

On December 8th, I placed 2 orders with Prize Candle to take advantage of their Christmas sale. One order was for 4 candles at a cost of $44.99 including shipping. The second order was for 12 candles at a cost of $124.99 including tax. The candles were to be stocking stuffers and Christmas gifts for freinds and family. I've done business with Prize Candle before without any issues so I felt confident that my orders would go through and everything would be fine as before.

I got confirmation for my orders along with order numbers and a statement that I'd be notified when the orders ship. I continued to check my order status on the Prize Candle website (www.prizecandle.com) but kept getting error messages stating that my orders didn't exist. That's when I emailed the company, letting them know the trouble I was having and asking about my orders. Prize Candles was contacted via email numerous times, but none of my inquiries were answered. Shortly after my first wmails, the website changed and would not allow for logins or order checks. The website is now closed down and cannot be found.

After doing some research, I posted to their facebook page and saw that lots of other people were having the same problems I was. I tried calling the phone number listed for the company, only to find that it has been disconnectedl. It seems possible that the owner and general manager of Prize Candle, Nancy Lyczkowski, skipped out on Prize Candle when she got married last month. However, that is only speculation at the moment, but it is based on postings from her facebook, twitter, instagram, linkedin, and other various social media accounts.

Originaly, I wanted the candles. But after reading so many complaints and problems from so many others, I want full refunds of both my orders. I realize the compnay may have gotten overzealous and sold more candles than they had in stock, but they should have let their customers know that and refund their money. On the otherhand, I really does seem like thie big 12 days of Christmas promotion was nothing more than to see how much money they couild scam people out of before closing shop and taking off to some Caribbean island.
