  On February 25th, 2015 I placed a call to Pro Cases about looking at having a custom case built for some dj lighting fixtures.  When I called I spoke to Shane and told him that I was looking to have a custom case built. I told him that I wanted the case to look exactly like Chauvet's Freedom Charge 9 case, but instead be able to hold 16 Chauvet EZ Wedge Tri lighting units.  While on the phone with Shane, I had him do a google search of not only The Freedom Charge 9, but also The Chauvet EZ Wedge Tri, so he could get an idea of what I was looking for.  Also while on the phone, Shane pulled Chauvet's webite and got the specs of each unit and the case.  Shane told me that this would be a very easy build, and this would be no problem at all.   I also told Shane that I on the left side of the case I wanted a external power plug, and enough space on the left side, so that I could run 3 power strips, and gave him the dimensions of the power strips, and then on the right side I wanted a storage compartment for cables.  

Again was told no problem.  Shane told me that he was going to draw up an estimate and email it to me, he event sent me a test email to make sure that I got his email.  Not even a half hour later I had the quote in my email. The quote for for $500.00 and had all the specs in the item line, and even stated 4" caster (wheels) to be put on the case.  I called Shane and told him to go ahead with the order.  At which point I gave Shane my credit card information and had the order placed.  Shane told me that the payment would process, and then once the case was completed, he would call me, and we would have to make a second charge for shipping.  I asked Shane about the time frame of the build and he stated to me "2 weeks" and I should have my case.  I thanked him for his time, and told him I look forward to working with him, and ended the call.

On February 25th, 2015 I sent the following email to Shane after discussing with him the size of the storage compartment on the right side:

Shane,

So I did some thinking after I talked to you and placed my order tonight.  You had made mention to me that on the right side there would be about a 2 inch gap for storage.  After thinking about it and doing some measuring, let’s change that to a 4 inch gap.  I have large hands, and I did some testing at home and with 2 inches it was snug and very hard for me to bend my fingers.  With the 4 inch gap I had room to move my hand around, and bend my fingers.  Thank you for your understanding, and my apologies for being so fussy. 

On February 26th, 2016 I received the following response from Shane "Got It"

On February 27th, 2015 payment for $500.00 was processed on my credit card, and deducted from my banking account.

 

Two weeks went by and I heard nothing from Shane or received my case.  On March 18th, 2015 I sent Shane an email checking on the status of my case, because it had been two weeks and I had heard or received nothing.  The exact email I sent was the following: 

Shane,

Just wanted to check in on the status of my order.  I see that on February 27th payment for $500.00 was processed from my banking account.  When I spoke to you on February 25th you stated to me that the time to complete the order would be about 2 weeks.  Just curious where things are at, because we are currently at the 3 week mark, and yet no case.

On the same day I received the following email from Shane:

Sorry….we had a big project that we just finished. Your case should go out this week.

So the rest of the week came and went and I still had not received anything from Pro Cases.  By the end of the week March 22nd, 2015 I received no phone call, no email confirmation, nothing.

 

On March 25th, 2015 I received a phone call from Shane stating that my case was just about completed.  He mentioned to me that no casters (wheels) were put on, and he also made mention to me that I wanted casters put on.  I got the vibe from him that he really didn't care, and was kinda waiting for me to mention what to do. I mentioned to Shane that can't you just put the casters on the bottom corners?  He told me that the casters should of been done in the beggining because of the real estate that they aquire, and doesn't know why they were not put on.  The only thing that he suggested to me was that he was going to take pictures of my case, and send them to me, and I was supposed to get back to him, to let him know what I wanted to do next. At this point I was not very happy, due to the fact we are now a month in and I was originally told that it would only take 2 weeks, and I was also told that casters were going to be put on (per the original quote) and yet they were not put on. So I told Shane to send the pictures, and I would be in touch with him, and ended the conversation.  The rest of the afternoon and evening went by and I had received nothing from him, no pictures like I was told I was going to have sent.  By 1030pm central time, still nothing was received.  So due to the frustration of spending $500.00 and I still have nothing to show for it, I sent the following email to Shane:

Shane,

So on March 25th, you had given me a call, and spoke to me regarding that no casters were put on my case.  You had also made mention to me that you were going to send some pictures to me of my case.   So as the rest of the afternoon went by, and into the evening I received nothing from you.  It is now 10:30pm central time, and yet I still have not received anything from you.

I will be honest with you, when you called me this afternoon, I was not happy.  When I spoke to you on February 25th I told you that I wanted my case to look exactly like the freedom charge 9, but instead of holding freedom pars, the case was supposed to hold 16 Chauvet EzWedge Tri.  You stated to me that would not be a problem at all, in fact you even stated to me this would be a very easy build. On the estimate that you sent to me, it even has listed 4” casters, and yet now you call and state the casters were not put on.  I even made mention to you, why can’t you just put them on in the corners.  You  made mention to me that this should have been done in the beginning, because of the real estate that they take up, and it was never done.

Also I am not too happy with the amount of time this is taking.  When I spoke to you on February 25th, you stated to me that it would take two weeks, and then I would have my case.  Well two weeks went by and I heard nothing from you, or received my case.  On March 18th, I sent you a message checking in on the status of my case, since I had already paid for it, and you replied to me “Sorry….we had a big project that we just finished. Your case should go out this week” I will be honest with you, this is something that I did not want to hear, especially after spending $500.00 and yet had nothing to show for it. I understand that things take time, and things can be delayed especially if there is other orders ahead of me.  But the thing that upsets me the most, is that you never reached out to me, to explain to me that my order was delayed, I had to reach out to you to find out what was going on.  So after receiving that message from you on March 18th, the rest of the week went by and yet I still had not received my case.  We are now at 1 month, and I still don’t have my case, and I am running out of patience.

When I spoke to you on March 25th when you stated to me that there were no casters on the case, based off of your tone,  it kind of seemed like you didn’t care, and that you were waiting for me to make the decision on what to do. Well here is what I want done.  My original order called for casters, so I want the casters put on, I mean I did pay for them.  Even if that means you have to build the case all over again I don’t care.  I am fed up with this company and the poor customer service that I am receiving, especially given the fact, that I did drop a pretty good chunk of change for my case.  Shane let’s be honest, if I would of known this whole thing would of taken a month if not more, I would of taken my business elsewhere.  Plus if I would of known about the poor customer service, again I would of taken my business elsewhere.  I am a business owner myself and you don’t treat people this way.   This situation would be like me telling a bride oh yeah I can do your wedding ceremony it will only cost $500, and you have to pay me first, and then never show up, same thing the customer is not going to be very happy, and they are going to be left with the feeling that they got screwed over.

As I mentioned at this point I would like what I paid for.  I am giving you until next Wednesday to have my case delivered to me. This means the case should be as exactly as I ordered it from you, including the casters.  Also before the item ships out, I want pictures of what my case looks like.  I would like pictures of the inside, every side of the case, and the bottom as well, just so I know that things were done right, and if by some  chance something is not right, you can fix it before I receive the case, and then I’m not left with something that I can’t use.  Also at this point I think it’s only fair because of the long amount of time, and the problems that have occurred, that you pay for shipping, again it’s only fair. I don’t feel that I should have to pay for shipping when first of all I was told that my case would take two weeks, and yet it’s been a month, plus I was told there were no casters on the case, when my order called for them.  Shane please note again I am running of out of patience with you, and I just want what I paid for, so I can use my case and be done dealing with this nightmare, and this company.  Have a great day, and I look forward to your prompt response.

 At this current point I am awaiting a response from Shane, and what he is going to do to get me what I paid for.

 A full refund was giving to customer, he was not satisfied with case and he got his money back as he requested. There was no need to go to this extreme and post lies about my company or my self. I have been building cases for more than 2 decades now & have never ripped anyone off or ever will. I am in business for a reason, I am good at what i do and that is to build high quality cases for every customer. However no one is perfect & like this customer was unhappy and i was more than glad to give him his money back & i did. I did try to help him out by fixing what he didnt like about the case but he refused to any help or advise.

Even More Threats Against Me...

So its not even been 10 minutes since I filed an updated report about Shane continuing to threaten me and continuing to harass me, and by the way that report is not even posted on the website, and I again received another threatining email from Shane:

If this post is not taken down by you, I will take full legal action and sue for liable and defamation of character.  Is that clear????


This is gone for long enough, and cleary he is going to continue to treat me in a way that I don't deserve.  I have every right to file a complaint against somebody especially if I wasn't  taken care of the proper way.  Also when you scream at me, and decide to use foul language with me, and you choose not to handle the situation in a professional manner being that you are the president of the company, you can bet that I will file a complaint, and let everybody know of the horrible service that I have received.   It is no different than going to Walmart or your local store and you have a problem with an employee, or a service that you were paying for.  Any normal human being would file a complaint whether it is with a manager or filing a complaint with corporate, or even online.  I have this right.  I dont have the right to be treated this way, and now he wants to threaten lawsuits against me?  I NEED SOME SERIOUS HELP WITH THIS!!  Warning to all musicians, bands, artists or anybody that performs on the road for a living.  Do not use Pro Cases Inc. for your cases or custom case needs, you will not be taken care of!

Still Threatening and Harassing Me..

So I just wanted to add that on March 27th, 2015 I did receive my full refund of $500.00 in my banking account.  But the problems are still not over with.  On March 27th, 2015 I received the following email from Shane:

You were supposed to take it down.  DO IT TODAY!!!


So as you can see I am still be threatened and I am still being Harassed by Shane.  Quite honestly enough is enough.  I am moving on and taking my business elsewhere, and he needs to just realize that he screwed up, and did not take care of me the way he should of, and now has to deal with the consequences.  I sent the following email to Shane in hope of ceasing all future communication with me:

Shane,

I got the refund thank you.  Sorry I can’t take it down, it’s a permanent record, if you want it taken down contact Rip Off Report.  Also at this time I am going to ask that you stop contacting me and just leave me alone, I do not want to hear from you anymore.  Failure to respect my wishes to ceases communication, will leave me no choice but to contact the FTC ( Federal Trade Commission ) and the FBI ( for harassment across state lines ) Thank You Goodbye!!

So we will see what happens, hopefully this will just be done and over with, but I have a strong hunch that he still continue to contact me against my wishes, and I will still have to continue to update this file on a daily basis...

So things continue to get worse....

So picking off from my last report, in closing I stated that I was waiting to hear a response from Shane, in terms of what he was going to do.  Well I got a response, but it only made things worse.

On March 26th, 2016 I received an email from Shane saying that my case just needed to be foamed and then it would be shipped out today, and I was also suppose to choose what casters I want.  Also in the email pictures were attached to show me what my case looked like.  The first picture that I opened up, I could tell it was not the case that I had ordered.  First of all on the left side of the case was supposed to be a gap for a charging station, in which I was going to install three 6 outlet power strips into the case once I received it, and yet there was no gap like I had ordered.  

On the right side of the case was supposed to be a 4" gap to allow for storage of cables, when the units are not charging, and based of from what I was seeing, it did not look like a 4" gap, it was very small and narrow, and looked like the 2" gap that he originally wanted to put in there before I had it changed.  Also the case was supposed to house triangular units, and the spots that were going to store the units were square and by no means would my units have fit properly.  By no means did the case look like what it was supposed to, and again  this was another example of Shane not listening to me, and full filling my order the way I wanted it, and he just did things the way he wanted.

On March 26th, 2015 not even 15 minutes later after receiving the first message from Shane, I received the following email from him:

Take it down now!!!!

In the 25 years of making cases, I have never did anyone wrong.  Take it down now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So now after posting my report last night, Shane is demanding to me that I take down the post right away.  Also as you can see he is a real professional and really wants to take care of the situation by cursing and screaming at me.  So a few hours went by and I had to run into town to do some errands for my business.  When I came back there was a voicemail left from Shane and I quote " David this Shane you need to call me back immediately at 323-585-447, call me now click..." then the voicemail ended.  So I called Shane back, and told him that I got the pictures.  I started to tell Shane that everything on the case is wrong and not what I ordered, when I was interupted by Shane and I quote" You need to stop right there, this is bulls***."

Right away I told Shane I am not going to stop I have the right to address my concerns especially since my order is incorrect.  Shane stated and I quote" There is nothing f***ing wrong with your case."  "You had no right to post on that f***ing website, and I want it taken down now!!"  "I have been building custom cases for 25 years, and never once have I screwed anybody over, and now thanks to you my f***ing reputation is ruined." "S*** Man you had no right."  I stated to Shane that I had every right to post the report that I did.  As a consumer if I am not satisfied with the service I received, I have the right to tell whoever I want about it, to prevent customers from going through the same experience as me.  Shane then stated and again I quote" F***ing take it down now"  

I replied to Shane that I am not going to take it down, and you know what forget about my case I just want my money back, I am not going to sit here and by yelled at and cursed at.  Shane replied to me and I quote " you will get your money back when the f***ing post comes down."  I stated to Shane it does not work that way, and he will give me my money back.  Shane then replied and I quote " Fine I will give you your money back, but that s****y post comes down."  I explained to Shane that I am sorry but the post will not come down, and that once it is posted, it can not be removed.  Shane replied to me and I quote " That is a bunch of f***ing s***."  "You posted it, you surely can take it down, f***ing take it down now!!"  I then asked Shane when I was going to receive my money back and he stated to me that he would send it immediately.  Shane also replied with and I quote " F*** man your a piece of s***" and then click as he hung up the phone with me.

Shortly after I received a refund slip from Shane along with a confirmation  that the money was sent.  Also in that email he again demanded that I take the post down.  His exact email was: 

You have just been refunded $500.

I expect that link to be removed immediately!

At which point I then called my bank to inform them of what was going on, and to monitor this transaction and let me know when it comes in.  After explaing to the bank the problems that I was having, I was advised by my bank to restrict all outgoing transactions on my business card, because of the fear the bank had of him sending the money, and then turning right around and retracting the refund.  Also at this point my bank was forwarded all communication between myself and Shane, so if he does not refund my money, my bank will file a dispute with Visa.  My bank had my send an email to him asking when I could expect the money back into my account, plus so they could also somewhat pinpoint when the money should come back in.  I sent Shane an email thanking him for my refund, and when does he expect me to have my money.  I got this reply from Shane: 

It will get to account in 2-3 days. This time frame is out of my control.

I expect the link to be removed ASAP.

So as you can see once again he is demanding that I take down this report.  Well Shane I am sorry to say this but I won't take this report down.  For one I can't and for Two I want people to know exactly how you screwed me over, and the foul language that you used, and how unprofessional you were, and I want people to be aware of these problems so another customer does not get screwed over by you.  If you would of taken care of me the right way, and did things the way I ordered my case, you wouldn't be in this mess.  Well now you made your bed, and now you must lie in it.  

I will be submitting a picture of the case that he was building for me, along with a picture of what the actual case of mine was supposed to look like minus the square slots and replaced with triangular spots for my units.  Its clear from the pictures that it looks nothing like it was supposed to.  At this current point I am currently waiting for the refund from Shane, I just hope he does the right thing and doesnt respond back to me after posting a second report and forces me to have to sit and listen to be being cursed at and screamed at again, or read threating emails.
