I just want the public to be aware of Ashworth University AKA Ashworth College, PCDI

this school is a fraud, they are not regionally accredited, I have 60 credits with them and cannot get those credits transfer to any school run by the state. I have called them and only to be told it is not their fault that my credits will not be accepted. Can something be done to this school so that they are off the market? I hate to see others go through the same thing I am going through right now. Only if I had done my home work I would have found out that this school is nothing but a scam. I want to know what kind of scam is Dr. Miller running. Please, Please will someone help me in getting back some of the thousands of dollars I gave to this school?

Ashworth Univsersity is not a 'ripoff' or a "scam"

AUTHOR: Franklin - (United States)

POSTED: Friday, November 24, 2017

Ashworth University is not “a fraud” nor is it a “scam” and ‘Ripoff Reports’ should not be allowing posts from people like this blatantly lying about other institutions just because the individual student failed to do their work. You knew before you took classes at AU that the institution was nationally accredited (Distance Education Accrediting Commission) and that your credits “may not transfer” to other institutions, but still the fault is not AU’s it is the fault of the student. So when you called AU and they told you “it is not their fault that [your] credits will not be accepted”, they didn’t lie. They didn’t ‘rip you off’ or “scam” you.

AU is a respectable accredited college that doesn’t need to be taken “off the market” and there are numerous regionally accredited intuitions that accept AU (and other NA institutional) credits in transfer. Are there any in ‘your state’? I don’t know, but that is your job and duty to find out before taking a course from any other institution as to whether those credits will transfer. People who continue to falsely paint the NA institutions in a negative light, while praising RA institutions, only show they haven’t done any research.  Here are just a handful of RA institutions that accept AU (and other NA institutional) credits. Thomas Edison State University, American Public University(APUS), Western Governors University, Norwich University, Southern College, … It only takes a little online research to find this out.

Out of luck

AUTHOR: Jeanski - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, October 16, 2009

Unfortunately, Lu is correct in that there is probably nothing you can do. Transfer credits are always up to the RECEIVING institution, unless there is an articulation agreement already in place (as is common between community colleges and the four-year schools in their state).

Your post is a warning to all those considering an online school. CHECK THE ACCREDITATION and make sure BEFORE you attend that if you plan to transfer, the follow pon school will accept the credits.

If you used federal financial aid you may want to consider calling your lender to see if they have any suggestions.
