This company scams its customers. They send out flyers for a $79.95 "whole house" package that includes deep scrub, precondition, color brightener, fragrance, and prespotting.

I made an appointment off of the flyer I received in the mail from Shopwise and was advised that there might be a small extra charge if I had deeply soiled carpet. My carpet did need a little extra attention so I was okay with that. But, when they got to my house all the sudden the charge became $429!! (This is not a small extra charge.) When I declined the additional services and opted for the advertised price, the cleaners quickly zoomed through my house with the hose in less than 10 minutes! Before they left, I noticed that not only was my carpet not any cleaner but now it was soaking wet. All they did was spray something on it and vacuum it up again.

In addition, all of the carpet was not wet; almost two whole rooms were missed! When calling to complain, Olympia the "Customer Service Manager" told me that it is my fault that the carpet didn't look any different because I didn't not agree to all of the "carpet restoration" services for the $429. They refused to help me in any way. Once I complained that the carpet was not even wet in some areas, after a great deal of arguing, she told me she would send someone over to redo those areas on Saturday between Noon and 5pm. After waiting until 5:30 pm on that Saturday, they finally showed up. It was the same guy that came the first time. All he did was walk through my house and say no we're not helping you; we did all this the first time. And left telling me they would do nothing for me.

I have had my carpets cleaned many, many times for a similar price with other companies and never has my carpet not looked any cleaner when the cleaners have left.

In addition, I had a friend call to see what the companys charges were and pretend that he was in need of a cleaning and had some stains on his carpet. They also told him there might be some extra charges and he said okay as long as its not $450! Their answer was oh no, we would never charge that much!

I, as a customer, have been treated in such a horrible manner. They treated me as if I were a criminal for complaining about the service.

Please, please forward this on to your friends and family in the Milwaukee area and help me to let people know that this company is out to scam their customers. It seems if you don't upgrade to the expensive packages they basically wet your carpet and leave. My Hoover carpet cleaner works 100% better and I don't want anyone else to be taken by such deceitful people as I have.
