In May of 2008, I purchased flowers for my mother-in-law through ProFlowers.com for Mother's Day. Following this, I began to receive charges on my Credit Card from "Easy Saver 800-355-1837 PA". Not knowing where this charge came from, I did a quick internet search, only to find that ProFlowers is sharing CREDIT CARD information with Easy Savers without a transparent consent from the customer. I NEVER agreed to an Easy Saver "membership"; and I am baffled that a seemingly reputable company like ProFlowers would actually share my credit card info with a third party without making this transaction completely clear for the customer.

Now I have to sort this out with Easy Saver, which based on what I am reading online will be a headache in itself! The next step will include a filing at the Better Business Bureau, state Attorney General's Office and potentially Class Action Lawyers, if it comes to that. I encourage all out there who have experienced these same woes to to the same.

Go back and read the disclosure that told you in MAY that you authorized them to do this

You either completed a survey or took the $$ of your current order offer and failed to read the disclosures (they are there and required by law) you chose not to read back in May.

By either completeing the survey or taking the $$ off offer - you gave them permission to sign you up for a trial period with the understanding that you would be charged if YOU FAILED to cancel during the trial period. They use the same payment info you provided to pay for your purchase.

The Today show did a piece about this several months ago. They investigated viewer complaints and went to the same exact websites that the complaints claimed did not tell the consumer about this program - and they discovered full disclosure about the programs on all the websites - NO ONE BOTHERED TO READ THEM!
