Progressive Auto Insurance Don't pay their claims New Orleans Nationwide

On 2/11/2014 a Progressive's claim involving their insured car crashed into my house, taking down three posts supporting a 50 x 10 (500 sq ft.) balcony with a roof overhang.  She also tipped over a SUV and drove on the sidewalk before taking down posts.  

All three quotes to repair the balcony are above $38,000 but Progressive estimates it ~ $14,000.  I had to get a lawyer to dispute but they gave up and said take the $9,800 settlement.  They used wide angle lense images from Google maps to prove their point.  

I already paid over $10,000 for repairs because it was a hazard about to fall.  Also, in New Orleans, we have to take care of hazards before hurricane season.  Progressive was aware of my situation that their client caused but continued to play hard ball and insist I settle for 9,800.

Believe it or not, someone else hit my house a couple years ago and Geico was the auto insurance.  There was far less damage and Geico paid on time and in full for the damages!

I reported both accidents to the city and insisted that they put a four way stop sign at the corner to prevent more accidents on 2/12/2014. Many accidents occur on this corner in front of my house after the street was repaired.  Before the street was repaired it wasn't possible to go fast on my street and cause such damage in a residential area.  

Progressive is a scam.  Geico is not.  Also, New Orleans is not a responsible city.  It has been 8 months since my formal request to put another stop sign but no action.  This is across the street from a city park where children play and people take their dogs.  I worry more about someone causing physical harm to a person than hitting my house.
