I worked an event in Charlotte, NC on June 26th and 27th, 2008 and have still yet to be paid by Promomodels. Started contacting them after 60 days out about payment and all after numerous phone calls and emails finally got a call back saying that according to contract they had 90 days to pay me.

Funny, I never signed any contract to work for them. I only created an online profile and started working. When I spoke with a representative from the company on the phone I was told she would alert accounting of my call and have them call me to give me the status of my payment. Weeks went by and no one called. I kept trying to get back in touch with them but every time I called I only got a voice mailbox and no one ever called me back.
Finally, on one of my calls, somone picked up the phone. I believe she answered it by accident. When I questioned "Eden" as to where my payment was she acted as if she didn't have any record of me working the event and couldn't find anything in her system pertaining to me, the event, or the client. She said she would have to do some research and call me back.

I decided to contact the client I worked for at the event. I happen to have is contact number stored in my phone. When I contacted him he informed me that he had paid the client 60 days before the event, so it had been almost five months since promomodels go paid and they still haven't paid me. The client tried calling Promomodels leaving a voicemail saying he needed more models for his next event to try to get them to call back. They never returned his call. Next, he sent an email and got a response from a Lindsey asking him the details of his event. He made up some dates and requested that myself and the other model who had previously worked with him.

Lindsey said she would check our availability and get back to him. A few hours later, without even contacting us she responds back to the client saying we were unavailiable for the requested dates.

The client responded saying that he only wanted to work with myself and the other model and that if we could not work the event the he would staff it in house. Lindsey in turn replied apologizing that she could not fill his request and basically telling him to have a great day. She would rather lose the money for another event than to call us to see if we could work. This proves they have no intention of paying us.

I am still yet to recieve a check or any other contact from this company as to where my money is.

So beware models. DO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY!!! If you do be prepared to risk getting the run around and never getting paid!
