Property Tax Assessor Records Corp. BEWARE SCAM: THIS IS FAKE!  Internet

This is fake.  Notice the line at top in letter head that says "NOT AFFILIATED WITH ANY GOVERNMENT AGENCY".  But the envelope and inserts look the same as the officials ones from county and tax assessors & collectors.

On the bottom it also says "THIS DOCUMENT IS AN ADVERTISEMENT OF SERVICES". 

So, all the disclaimers are there, but the way it's packaged could fool people who might miss it or the elderly or whoever.  It has a rating of 'F' with the BBB; 9 reports.  And stories of people never receiving any official documents or applications for exemption or muchless a refund of their $55 "processing fee".

Also, they have no physical address, phone number or email address.  The mail comes from Illinois.  But return address is a local PO Box.  

And finally, the website registration is hidden by GO Daddy's Domain-by-Proxy service (anonymous domain registration, which keeps all info hidden).  Scammers and fee-based adult sexual-oriented and scamming dating websites use this service all the time.
