ProShoppers By Omni Computer & Information Mgmt Gave someone else my credit card information without my knowledge Goleta, California

I had heard of Secret shoppers or Mystery shoppers and saw an add in the paper. I thought ok, I can do that. I called them and answered all their questions. I was told that they needed shoppers in my area so badly that their customary fee was $60.00 but due to the high demand they will only charge me $20.00 and then $9.95 per month to shop for them. They offered a couple of other 'gifts' for using them.

Not knowing any better I gave them my credit card number so I could get started. All I got back was a sign in pass code and nothing more. I was to go through this training (which I did not do). When I signed up I was told that I would be paid $50.00 for each shop and reimbursed for any money spent. After investigating I found out that most repuitable companies pay $10-$20 and do not reimburse you for purchases.

A few days later I saw my bank statement on line. There were 3 little withdrawls on my account. When I went to the bank about them to see what they were they could not tell either. I finally found them on the internet and they were fees to sign up with a long distance company. I did not ask for this nor was I informed at any time about anything to do with long distance. I immediately sent a letter to Omni asking them to close my account and informed them that if any more charges were made to me that it would be fraud.
