Providence Tarzana Medical Center Tarzana Medical Center Tried to make me pay bogus & fraudulent charges Tarzana California

I spent 90 minutes in the ER at Tarzana Medical Center for high blood sugar & after a couple of blood tests, a doctor stuck his head in the room & said to me, "I consider you diabetic," then he left. That was the only doctor I saw during my visit. A woman in the finance department came in the room & asked how I will be paying. I said, "cash." As I was getting ready to leave, the woman returned & I gave her my credit card. She billed $2,400.00 for the visit. She gave me a receipt stamped "Paid in Full," and I left. Several weeks later, I started receiving bills from other medical facilities 100 miles away from Tarzana Medical Center. I had never visited any of those facilities. I phoned Tarzana Medical Center to ask about these bills. The idiotic explanation I was given was: "We had other doctors in other medical facilities evaluate your lab results & you have to pay them." I replied, "I didn't request or authorize you to send my medical records to any other doctors, and it would be pointless to do so." If, in fact you did have other doctors evaluate my test results, you can pay them yourself." I also reminded her that my invoice for my visit was stamped "Paid in Full." Tarzana Medical Center sent the bill to a collection agency, apparently thinking that would make me pay it. It didn't.
