Providian Financial ripoff-cancelled card and ruined my credit San Francisco California

Providian's online service does not tell you that you cannot change your bank account information and issue a payment online in the same transaction. My payments went through the wrong account which I had closed. I spoke with a manager about this and she waived the fees and allowed me to make my payments again. By this time the account information had updated. I was told that everything was fine. The next day I went in to make sure there werent any problems with the payment and was told that my account had been closed and would be would be reported to the credit bureau as closed for unreturnable checks. I have tried to dispute it with them to no avail.
