Providian Visa Card ripoff, sold fraudualant account for a second time Manchester New Hampshire

First off i'd like to thank rip-off report for help people offered the first time they did this. i will also say i reported the 1st collection agency to the BBB and they actually took action. to refresh people i will give a quick break down.

I had 2 providian accounts almost 5 years ago and like alot of people i fell behind but i paid both accounts off and closed the cards. now we come to the fun part,i now have a capital one card and get a copy of my credit report,the 1st one i got i noticed 3,yes three,providian accts.

1 said card was lost or stolen. found out it was a fraudulant acct. they sold it to arrow finacial who decided to harrass me. providian actually bought the acct back because i proved it was NOT my acct(good thing i save papers)

now last month i start recieving calls from ANOTHER collection agency for that same fraudulant acct. the woman on the phone even went as far as to tell me that its the same account i had just with a new acct number. does providian really think im THAT stupid??

all i can say is i am very glad i get a copy of my credit report every 3-4 months otherwise id have never known they are still trying to railroad me. needless to say it is time to try to contact the BBB about Providian themself rather than just the collection agencys they keep selling the acct to.
