On the 21st March PTI Europe Region made an unauthorised charge to my credit card of 119 Euros - but converted from British Pounds

On the 25th March PTI Europe Region made another unauthorised charge to my credit card of 521 Euros.

Another posting on here suggests that PTI is Google Adwords. I find this hard to believe as I have a professional account with Google and a one-to-one manager there due to my spend with them. However, I have not recevied any notification from Google that this is their new billing name!

I have cancelled my card, and notified my bank to recover the sums taken as a fraudulent transaction and I would advise anyone else to urgently do the same.

I too had a debit for 77.25 GBP from my account on the 26 March 2008 followed by a refund of 77.25 GBP on 31 March 2008. I called PTI directly, but there was only an answer phone with the message to those who have had debits from their account by PTI to contact their bank as this was caused by a administration error in a bank clearing system. I contacted my bank but they insisted the debit and subsequent credit was by PTI. As my bank is not the most truthful on the planet, and a reassurance from an Indian-Call-Centre Robo-clerk is less than satisfying I decided to go through my on-line purchases.

Soon I found an order I had made for 77.25GBP to Amazon for a graphics card. I checked if Amazon had debited my account (which is usually instant) but found nothing from them. Aha! I thought - and dug some more. I contacted Amazon who confirmed they had requested and received payment for the graphics card. However, as I explained earlier this is not showing on my account.
A little more digging and the truth is - PTI are correct. The bank messed up - again. But getting the bank to admit it is like herding cats.

Now I have a free graphics card (remember, I received a refund) and no one will admit to wanting any money or being out of pocket. As a Buddist I feel a bit uneasy about getting stuff for free so If no-one takes money out of my account by the edit of next month (my bank is slow, too) then the 77.25 goes to charity.

Hope that helped. You can contact me by email if you need and confirmation details.
