I purchased a Public Mibile phone with,unlimited international phone calls. Prior to purchase I went into the store 3 times and confirmed that all international calls were included in the service.The charge for this service is 15.00 monthly and limited to about 20 countries.The countries I wanted to call are all on the list. I questioned the employee several times and I was assured that all my calls would be covered by the plan and referred to the company brochure. The brochure lists no exeptions other then the service being available to only certain countries.

Today, I tried to use my phone to call a country on the list. My call did not work. I checked with the store  brochure to confirm I did not make an error. The brochre states very clearly unlimited calls to a list of countries. There are no restrictions listed.

I called the company and I was told that the number I was calling was not on the list as I was calling a cellular number and the service is only for landlines. This restriction is not listed in the company brochure or by the employees. Rick in customer service could not tell me where to find the restriction in the company literature or in the contract I signed. I was told it was my fault as I did not do my due dilligence and all they would do is cancel the monthly 15.00 charge.  I was told it was not the company's problem. It was the phone lines in Ireland and I was told to fix it i have to call the cellular companies there and fix it myself. That was the only solution.

I was then told they would refund my 15.00 I paid as they were not going to give me unlimited international calls as promised and they do not have to. Rick said that is the was consumerism works. If I am not happy I can get my money back and they do not have to do anything else.

I told them no I did not want a refund I want the service I purchased. He said no I could have a refund of 15.00 and that was all. I told them it was false advertising and I have a store brochure stating I can have unlimited calls. He sad too bad the website says otherwise. I replied that there is no website in the stores and I purchased the service in the store and if there was restrictions I had to be informed by the company. He said too bad I said I would contact your service with my complaint.

 I was not happy with the service I received and asked for a manager. I was told I would get a call within 2 days. The manager called within 12 hours and told me she cannot help me and the company would call back in 5 to 10 days.

Refunding my 15.00 is not an option as I purchased the phone and service specifically for the international calls. So my resolution would be that they provide me with international calls. Also the company information has to state that the calls are landline only and provided to all consumers. My consession to the company would be that I would get a limited amount of international calls as opposed to the unlimited they sold me. Say 200  to 300 minutes a month and any call above these minutes would be discounted. This to me would be reasonable but not really fair. These companies need to stop cheating and misleading the consumers
