Public Mobile Public Mobile set my child up to deal drugs, got us robbed then ripped us off for 333.35! Toronto, Ontario

Oct 11 2012 my 14-year son and I walk in to Public Mobile at 225 Wellesley St E to get him his first phone. We dealt with Brittany M, she gave us a discount but only if I use my credit card, which I did. He got the ZTE N860 and she gave him a number ending in, 3784, which she said, will bring great wealth and happiness. After we paid the other clerk started yelling POT DRUG, POT DRUG and I COULD OF GOT 20 BUCKS EASILY FROM A DRUG DEALER FOR THAT NUMBER AND YOU GAVE IT TO ANOTHER CHILD? which I found strange but didnt clue in to what she had done



Oct 12 2012 my son goes to Newmarket to attend his friends birthday party. I wait for him to call me to pick him up but no call. He usually calls around 8:30pm using my cell phone but this time no call. I call his friends parents and they tell me he left at 8:00pm for me to pick him up at the coffee shop. I call everywhere and nothing, I drive there and come back and nothing then my neighbour calls me at 7:00am on Oct 13 2012 and tells me he is at her place with the police, I get home my son was beaten and robbed they took his shoes, money, keys and his school bag with his tablet and books but didnt take his cell phone? (guess the guy knew it was worthless) I said why didnt you call me, he said I did but the phone doesnt work!



Oct 13 2012 8:00am drop Kyle off at my sisters and off to work, 6:15pm I get home and guess who is robbed now! TV, playstation, jewellery and almost anything of value is gone. I am a single father who works 2 jobs but I didnt make enough to afford insurance.



Oct 15 2012 I take the phone back to public mobile they tell me because it has been over 48 hours I cannot return it? I show her the receipt that states a week? She looks at it then asks to see the phone and reads the bottom of the receipt. Phone must be in brand-new condition with all original packaging, literature AND PLASTIC COVERINGS., Because you removed the plastic cover from the screen we can not resell it!, I said The cover read PLEASE REMOVE BEFORE USE?. The phone is broken why would you even think of reselling it?, she said The phone works we just have to update the software, come back in 30 minutes and it will be done, dont worry I will set up your little drug dealer up? Kyle and I leave and I am shocked that she called my child a drug dealer, WHY? And when we are leaving the other clerk is yelling POT DRUG, POT DRUG At the grocery store across the street my son pulls out rolling papers and asks me what they are for? They are for rolling tobacco to make cigarettes, where did you get them? Kyle said The lady in the cell phone store gave them to me! I took them from him but I didnt believe him and I sure didnt want him in that store again or even walk by it so I dropped him off home and went back to the store by myself. The phone now had different software she called his number and the phone rang. I said Thank you and turned to the other clerk looked her right in the eye and pulled the rolling papers out of my pocket. Her eyes bugged out and she ran into the back room. Now I know Kyle was not lying!



When I got home my neighbour was with Kyle I let them know all has been fixed and all is good. My neighbour called the number 647-768-3784 and it still didnt work! She then told me she had a Public Mobile phone from the same store that worked sometimes and when she went to the store one clerk was always eating and the other one was in the alley smoking pot then they would switch. She showed me her old phone and told me the A & S keys dont work because the fat clerk got chip dip in it when setting it up. I told her I have never seen a business run like that in my life not even a booze can they run around the store yelling POT DRUG, POT DRUG they called my 14 year old son a drug dealer, gave him rolling papers and after we paid the one clerk was pissed off she didnt get to sell my sons phone number to a drug dealer? My neighbour looked at her phone for a few minutes and told me my 14-year old sons phone number given to him by Public Mobile is 647-POT-DRUG! Well I was shocked, found it hard to believe but now it all started making sense. Oct 16 2012 back to Public Mobile, I get there and it is 8:45pm they close at 9:00pm but the door is locked and there are people out side the door smoking pot? They yell to the clerks in the store HURRY UP WE HAVE DRINKS WAITING AT THE BAR! The pot smokers ask me it there is anything they can help me with I tell them I am just waiting for Brittany, and the one says Oh I have weed, she doesnt bring any to work since she got arrested! so I say Weed really does nothing for me. Then the kid that is with them says I have some crack that will make bells ring in your head and make you think you have gone to heaven he gives me his business card while I say Arent you a little young to be drinking at the bar. He says I only have a 40 piece left I am going to pick up while they are drinking. I look at his card and the last 4 digits are ROCK I tell him mine is 647-POT-DRUG he then says Arent you a little old to be dealing drugs for Brittany? So I walk away while saying No one is to old or young to deal drugs for Brittany I'll be back!.



The next day I call Public Mobile to cancel, the woman I talked to seemed just loaded so I talked to her about it and the problems I had, She told me thats why she drinks and pops pills they rip customers off and leave me to deal with it. Every day I hear about kids and people like you they have ripped off and we have no one here that can do anything about it we have to ask customers to email head office threw the site which goes no where, we are trained to give deals to people who use there credit cards then we lie and keep billing them even after there service has ended, everyday I go home feeling like crap because of it but your account has been closed, I would call back to get your credit refunded and if they dont call the BBB.



A few days later I call back and our account has not been closed at all and they are still billing us, and there is no record of me even cancelling the account? But your account is closed now sir.



Next month I look at my credit card statement and guess what they are still billing me? I call then and they told me the last time I called I didnt cancel the account I just talked about it? But you account is closed now sir.



Jan 21 2013 I email head office about the problems about getting billed for service I have never received on a phone that doesnt work and the response was to dial *611 from the broken phone, which did not work, go figure. I call again and they tell me last time I called I hung up for no reason in the middle of the conversation and the system did not close my account because there system does not allow cancellations without the person on the phone? You are still getting billed! I said that is crap every time I called I was told my account is now closed. Ive been billed for months for a phone that we have never been able to make one call on, infact my son was beaten and robbed because of it, and then our home was robbed because of it, then Public Mobile bill us for almost 350.00 and when we signed up my son got a number to deal drugs, infact 647-POT-DRUG is the number from a staff member who has been charged with trafficking POT! How do we stop this? You call your credit card company to cancel it is the only way! Why would this company do this? Our phones are the worst in the cell phone business and are service is the same you are not the first to be billed for months of service that you never received. A few years ago we started getting customers to use credit cards to get discounts this way we can just keep billing customers we have been doing it ever since we started money laundering, if you steal someones check most of our stores will cash it without ID its the same to get a phone with us no ID needed at all and now it looks like we are starting to deal drugs which we already have more drug dealers than any other cell phone company!



NOW THATS WHAT I CALL A SPADE CALLING A SPADE A SPADE!
