Publisher's Clearing House Alita Hall/ John Phone call telling me I had won $900,000 through PCH Kingston Internet

I received a call on my land line from a man who called himself John, and spoke with a heavy accent. He advised me that I had won a certified check from Publishers Clearing House in the amount of $900,000. He asked me if I would be home today to receive my check, and I answered yes. He then asked me if I wanted delivery to be public or private, and I said private. He then asked if I would be willing to go to a registered government office to receive the check and I said no, ans then he hung up on me.

I got the phone number from my caller ID, and tried to call back. I got a voice message that identified herself as Alita Hall. I receive all kinds of phone scams weekly, mostly from ghost numbers located in India, but this is the very first of this description.
