I have personally go to Pueblo Bonito Ocean Front Resort on 9/11/14 to cancel contract dated 9/7/14 .I spoke with Mr Mitchel at his office where his secretary Diana Lucio was witness of our conversation. I explained to Mr Mitchell thay I want to cancel the contract becasue I have been informed by my husband in a call from Arizona that our house roof  in Phoenix had suffered great damaged with the storm we had . He was not happy with it  but I stated to him I was excersing my legal right under Mexican Consumer Protection Law article 56 that a contract can be cancelled with 5 days without any liability to the buyer. It does not matter if the buyer had signed a document waiving this right, which is an illegal practice to do so.

Before driving to the resort , I had stop to a fedex store and sent my cancellation letter to the only address found on the paper work which was in Scotsdale Arizona.

Mr Mitchell understanting that I new my rights agreed with the cancellation by signed my cancellation letter . He then proceeded to give my letter to his secretary Ms Lucio to make a copy , which she did and kept and gave the original back to me. He then  took all the document from me , even the cruise voucher that they said to me was a gift just for me to find out later that a charge of $499.00 was placed on my credit card. When back to US I started research about that $499.00 by calling the phone number found on my credit card bill. I called 602-395-1995 spoke with Brian Parker found out they are OVC cruise and travel. I explained the situation to him and he told me there is no payment to his company under my credit card number , name or email addrress.

I have continully email Ms Lucio, called  Pueblo Bonito 800-990-8250 they take my name and said will have someone get back to me and no one does.

Pueblo Bonito company is misleading people by not following Mexico Consumer Protection Law requirement that a contract must stated  the consumer right to cancel, address for communication and honor those that did required a cancellation with the required time frame.

I have contact  my bank and enterred a dispute on this matter.

I have  seen in list 16 complains against Pueblo Bonito Resort. If a lawyer out there want to start lawsuit you can count on me.

It is always best to hire someone skilled to do so, unfortunately in most cases these companies dedicated to cancel timeshares usually cheat for the second time to their customers since they are vulnerable and desperate. If you are thinking of hiring them you just have to make sure you do not have to make any payment upfront ... I found these articles that speak precisely about this, you should read them, that might help you to resolve many doubts:

Salesperson has client sign a waiver giving up their 5 day right to cancel as it is a special one-day only offer. This is illegal in Mexico.

Salesperson promises to sell their old timeshare to offset the cost of the new timeshare. In the end the client is referred to a resale company that does not sell the old timeshare and the client is stuck with two timeshares and the maintenance fees for both properties.
