I bought a Miniature English Bulldog from Puppy Avenue. They said the dog was 3 months old. First off the papers did not come with the dog. After many e-mails and phone calls. Papers were finally sent. Only the dogs birthdate on the papers does not match her actual age.

I am a certified veterinary technician, and my veternarian also agreed that she was older than they said. She went into heat already and lost her puppy teeth way before she should have if she was actually as young as they said.

I complained to Jeff and Tonya that the papers were fraudulant, and how was I to know if my dog is even purebred bulldog ( thats what she is registered as). I tried to get some of my money back from them but they refused.

Miniature English Bulldog

AUTHOR: Emma - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, April 13, 2007

I noticed your post, and as I was curious about these "Miniature English Bulldogs", I looked them up, as well as the breeders website. She claims her miniatures are registered with the AKC , CKC, DRA, and ACA. Just to let you know, both the AKC and the CKC (Canadian Kennel Club) do NOT recognize or register these dogs as they are not purebred, only standard English Bulldogs are recognized. The ACA is not very clear as to what sort of company it is, but it states it is a health registry (what ever that is).The DRA web site states that it is for people who are developing new breeds, or for mix breeds such as the Puggle and the Labradoodle.

I would be interested to know what type of papers you were sent, and how these dogs are considered purebred (by the breeder) if they are actually Miniature Bulldogs. I hope your puppy is happy and healthy, good luck!
