Puppy Depot Coram, NY Scammers who sell very sick and dying dogs & play with people's heartstrings!! Boycott! CoramCoram New York

I purchased a mini pinscher back in April from Puppy Depot in Coram. I should have known better. I had went in there a few years ago to just look around and my fiance pointed out to a manager a dog that was foaming at the mouth. The dog was a collie and it was so sick it couldn't even stand up in its cage. We called over the manager and he got the stores mascott (a small pug looking dog) to "cheer" the collie up stating it was just "depressed". Needless to say we were not convinced. We were disgusted and left.

Well this April after getting the OK from my landlord to get a small dog I tried to go through numerous fostering places on petfinder.com. Because I work during the day no one would allow me to adopt so I was left with purchasing. So my fiance and I went to a few pet stores to 'look' and then I fell in love with a full grown min pin.

We took her in the room and played with her. She seemed healthy & like she had a good disposition & I instantly fell in love. We didn't have cash that night to pay for her in full so we gave them a $100 deposit to hold her and I came to pick her up the next day.

I paid in full (cash) and signed all their paperwork including their BS clean bill of health. They assured me that the puppy (5 months & fully grown) had been looked at by a vet just days before & was healthy. I was given 2 bottles of pills, not because she had worms but to prevent them "in case". More BS.

I was told if I brought her to the Coram Animal clinic Puppy Depot would pay for the free visit. I should have caught on then but I didn't. On the way home she was caughing like crazy and I knew she had kennel cough. I called Coram Animal Clinic to make the earliest appointment possible.

I brought her in and the lovely (being sarcastic) Dr. DeGeorge took a look at her. She confirmed she had kennel cough & gave me a script which they filled there & I also brought in a stool sample which they confirmed that she did indeed have worms.

With in the next week I would be visiting the vet 3 more times. Finally it occured to me that Dr. DeGeorge & her staff were retarded and I took her to another vet who immediately diagnosed my min pin with the following and promptly filled out a not fit for sale certificate.

Heart murmer (on the scale of 106 she is rated a 2)
Worms
Kennel cough that had progressed from not being treated
Double Ear infection
Underbite
Ear mites
vaginitis

So now it's going on 2 months and she has been to the vet 7 times. She needs to have an echocardiogram done along with a chest scan because they think she has fluid in her lungs. And did I mention the only thing the Coram Animal Clinic picked up on was the worms? I told them about the kennel cough & they only confirmed.

My poor dog is on so many different medications and has been to the vet so many times in her short little life. I am crossing my fingers and praying that her heart murmer isn't serious or they can figure out what it causing it and fix it.

I am glad I RESCUED her from Puppy Depor but I wish there was more I could do to shut that evil puppy mill selling place DOWN! After reading all these other reports it just makes me more livid. How can people have a heart and harm animals like this and neglect them? Then they pull on your heartstrings and you keep the dog because how could you not want to protect it from them?

Well I am about to battle them to pay for all my vet bills thus far and to pay for the chest scan & they echocardiogram. And if they don't to court I will go. Somehow I think they will though because it's "shut up" money.
