On February 24, 2008 I bought Daisy the mini English Bulldog that is still on their website. The very next day this puppy was with diarrhea and not eating. Took her to my vet who gave her fast balance and an IV to hydrate her. On the 28, she had to be taken to emergency because she was lethargic and not eating. At the emergency vets they took blood and stool tests and she was diagnosed with Parvo. As the vet stated "This is a very sick puppy" Daisy was treated and I spent well over 700 dollars to treat her. Thank God she was able to survive.

I am still scared to death and if Daisy so much as sneezes, I go into Panic mode, that is how traumatized me and my children are over what happened to us. Not so lucky my other dog, my 2 year old Hairless Chinese Crested who I got in November of 2005 and was a very healthy dog, but because he got the Parvo disease from Daisy by the time I got him to the hospital it was too late for him and had to be euthanized. I spent over $1,484.00 dollars trying to save my poor Chinese Crested to no avail and these People from Puppy Elite just brushed me off and never got back to me after I told them of the very sick puppy they sold me, I sent them faxes, text messages, left them phone messages and Puppy Elite never got back to me after I faxed them Daisy's bill.

SHAME ON YOU PUPPY ELITE!!! You scammed a widow with 2 small children. Puppy Elite promises AKC papers and now I see that other people have been scammed and now I won't even be able to have AKC papers for Daisy after paying such a high price. I also can't understand how they can be so heartless as to not even calling to see if Daisy lived or died.

For the comment expressed concerning the sick puppy that was sold to me with the "health guaranteed" from Puppy Elite.

I did isolate the puppy for many reasons when I brought her home. One because she was very small and because is just common sense. How did my other dog got contaminated from the sick pup that I unknowingly brought home, only God knows, but I do know that I took the precautions that are recommended. Did I pet the new puppy at one time and then just didn't remember to pour bleach on my hands to go pet my other dog? I do know that the dog that died was diagnosed with Parvo the same thing that Daisy was diagnosed with. The dog that I had to put down I had for over 2 years and he was UTD with shots and very healthy before I bought Daisy.

If I knew that there was a posibility that the dog I was buying was remotely sick, I wouldn't have taken her home and risk my other dogs, no way!. There is a reason that there is a law concerning sick puppies and that is because there are bad breeders. I went to this place because it said "health guaranteed" and if you check all the complaints, most of them are right around the time I bought Daisy and I won't have been able to check them because most of them weren't on site at the time.

Let's be realistic for one moment, if the puppy had the parvo shots chances are she wouldn't have had it in the first place and besides this is a very contagious condition, even when putting the dog away in another room there is no guarantee that it won't spread. I had to board my other dog in isolation in my vet's locale because that is what the vet in emergency room told me to do when I took in the sick dog. Imagine people boarding their other pets as a precaution when bringing a new pet home??

I took Daisy to my vet within 48 hours of buying her when she started showing symptoms of illness. I didn't intentionally fell in love with a sick animal, I didn't wake up that day and say to myself let me go buy a sick puppy so that my other dog can die and be thousands of dollars out of pocket. I bought a puppy with "health guaranteed forms". Is very easy to judge people, but is not fair to attack the people that get pets and didn't go into a full investigation beforehand, I don't see you judging the people selling dogs for a profit without regards to the health of the animals, and lying about selling dogs with "health guarantee" promises.

With regards of the akc papers, they are frauding people so they are at fault, if they are selling fake papers, how are people buying the pets supposed to know that they are fake??. Yes, things like this happen all too often and that is why there is a law, to protect the consumers. DUH!
I really don't care for anyone trying to excuse breeders that are selling sick dogs and fake papers, specially when these breeders don't return calls when costumers try to reach them. The fact that they give you the run around and don't answer calls or honor what they promised after the "sale" is complete proves that they are guilty.

So Sorry

I am very sorry for the loss of your dog due to him/her getting parvo from your new puppy. I can't stress this enough to people, when bringing in a new animal where you already have animals you have to isolate the new member and not allow them free roam of your house until you have had that new animal vet checked and even then because some things don't show up in the first few days of having the new animal you still shoud isolate your new member for atleast 4 weeks. You don't allow them contact with your other animals and after playing with your new pet, always wash your hands before playing with your other pets not to transmit anything between them, once the isolating period is over, you then slowy introduce the old to the new and make sure you are present during the first meetings so nothing goes terribly wrong with them getting to know each other.

I do feel sorry for your loss and if what you say is factual then the kennel should help you cover some of those vet bills being this pup must have been sent to you with parvo and not picked up from your house. As for your other pup, I'm going to assume the kennel listed in their contract you were suppose to keep the new pup away from any exsisting animals as to not get another sick or vice versa? Because you didn't do that I agree they are not responsible for vet bills or to pay for the cost of the pup you lost.

You also say that you expected registration papers and now see that others have had issues getting their papers, come on you should have done that research prior to purchasing a pup from people you didn't know, we see this sorta thing all the time when the consumer doesn't do the research until it is too late and they have either been ripped off or defrauded, why not save ourselves alot of greif and do this research prior to parting with our money or falling in love with a sickly animal?
