The low price ($85) for a one bedroom apartment is just not worth the hassle, unprofessional-ism and filth of this place.

Traveling with a child, the idea of an apartment with a kitchen, separate bedroom and pool SEEMED to be the best option. Some reviews have mentioned the questionable characters lingering around.
Yes... this is a low income apartment complex, frequented by police for drugs and more. I knew 'of' it but took my chances anyway.

It went from bad to worse when the very unprofessional staff and manager (Patty) charged me $200 two days before I arrived, for an $82.50 room, after telling me it was no problem to pay with cash at check out. Admitting the 'mistake'  but totally unwilling to do anything about it, telling me to just 'wait for the refund'... which still hasn't arrived in my account, almost a week later.

When I got there I was put into a very HOT apartment that wreaked of cigarette smoke even though there were 'no smoking' signs all over the unit. When the A/C would not work it took three calls to the office and a threat to plant myself and my son inside their office until closing, at which time they would have to call the police to have me removed.

We were moved to a fresher smelling unit with working A/C. However, the sheets on the bed HAD NOT BEEN WASHED. There was a large yellow stain in the center of the bottom sheet and 2 inch  black (human) hairs stuck all over it. The pillows stunk of B.O. The pull-out couch was worse. The bedding from the previous occupant had not been folded up, much less cleaned. There was no remove for the TV. The oven did not work. The patio was covered in cob webs and the huge ashtray had not been emptied in a very long time. There was one (broken) chair on the patio. There was no soap or toiletries of any kind in the bathroom.

This was probably the worst lodging experience of my life. I don't mind riff-raff or questionable neighborhoods... I knew what I was getting into there. But the staff has no experience in running a 'motel'. They simply work in an apartment complex office. ZERO care or customer service. Down right RUDE. And the FILTH in the unit... inexcusable.
