Gave Jade Boyce a deposit via PayPal back in July 2015 with the understanding she would communicate for 4 months about designing more art to add to my leg tattoo. One month passed and when I messaged her on Facebook to see if she had come up with anything she replied "I'm busy and am working on it between clients" so I let it go but then another month passed and when I reached out to her she said she was going to free hand it because that's how she does her best work. I was ok with that but wanted to know her ideas. I never received a response. I sent her a few emails to her personal email adress with the styles I liked a d pictures of my current tattoo but never got any feedback. So the beginning of October I messaged Germany again to tell her I wanted to postpone my appointment and asked how long my deposit was good for. She never replied so I finally sent an email to the actual shop asking for a refund and once again no one responded. She informed my sister that the deposit was non refundable and only good for one month. Yes it states the deposit is non refundable on her website but that shouldn't give her the right to just take my money, not do any of the work she said she would and not even reply to messages and emails.

I took down the bad review from Queen City Tattoo's website because Jade Boyce told me sister via Facebook message that she was refunding me because she knew she was wrong. The last message I sent to Jade was through Facebook asking to reschedule and she never responded. All of our coraspondence was through Facebook messaging but it was mostly me messaging Jade without hearing back. I have the proof with the messages she sent my sister. What do I have to do take Jade to small claims court to get justice? Just not right as a business owner to treat someone the way she treated me.

The deposit you made was to hold your appointment time. You canceled your appointment. You either call to reschedule or forfeit your deposit, according to our policy. You did not call. You did email our website, which isn't an instant type thing for us, and didn't allow enough time for us to respond to such email. If you wanted to speak to someone then and there, you could have called. All of the he said she said in between is irrelevant, as the $50 you paid was to hold your appointment time. We take our reputation very seriously and would have gladly worked out a refund had you called and discussed it with someone.
