Me and my husband recently tried Quibids.com the online penny auction company claiming to have great deals on different retail items.  At first I would bid on items and even won a couple of auctions but I soon discovered a pattern of user names that kept popping up all over the auctioning website. I started watching a number of auctions at the same time and noticed the same user names in many different auctions at the same time.  I also noticed "people" on the site bombarding auctions with bids that far out weighed the actual price of the item.

I continued to see this pattern over and over and my only conclusion is that the company is using computer bots all over this site to jack up prices and make the real users lose bids and auctions. Please beware this site and DO NOT buy into all the hype it brings!!  It is a total scam when it comes to having fair auctions!!

QuiBids Response

Sorry to hear you had a negative experience on our website. If at any time you feel as though "bid-bots" are being used on the site, please feel free to email our Compliance Department at support@quibids.com and provide the information requested so they can further investigate the claim.

Regarding the usernames you were commonly seeing on the site in numerous auctions. It is possible they were using what is called the 'Bid-O-Matic' feature offered on the website. While using the Bid-O-Matic does not guarantee a win, the Bid-O-Matic feature is a helpful tool that can bid for you while you take a short break. You can set the Bid-O-Matic to place between 3 to 25 bids at a time. As long as you have bids remaining, the Bid-O-Matic will bid in order to keep you as the highest bidder in the current auction.

For more details, check out this link: blog.quibids.com/the-bid-o-matic-explained/

However, if you have any questions or concerns, please contact us by calling 1-855-QUIBIDS (784-2437) or chat live with a representative anytime Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM CST and we will be happy to further assist you!
