QuiBids is an online auction that siphons your money while it purports to offer bargains. They list tantalizing products at lowball prices, which you then bid on. However, whether or not you win the item, you are spending money at a rapid rate, running up a tab that will quickly negate any savings. This is not made clear on the website. It's fraudulent and misleading. BEWARE.

Not an auction in any way

AUTHOR: Ramjet - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, August 11, 2011

Quibids is not an auction by any stretch of the imagination.  When's the last time you went to an auction, bid on something, didn't get it and had to pay anyway.

The 'buy now' options are also a ripoff because the price is inflated and Quibids is not an authorized dealer so you won't have warranty on any products you end up getting no matter what.

As stated, it's merely thinly disguised gambling that will probably end up illegal.

Don't fall for it.

Hardly a legitimate 'auction'

AUTHOR: Kat - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, August 11, 2011

Despite the statement of the owner, QuiBids is a rip-off any way you look at it. In a real auction, i.e. eBay, you bid on an item and if you don't win with the highest bid, you don't lose any money. With QuiBids, you might as well be putting your money into a slot machine. You might 'win' but whatever happens, you are probably paying too much, especially if you use their 'Buy Now' option. Like every other scam, some people do win an item at below cost. This allows the company to claim legitimacy. Even Las Vegas has winners from time to time, but you know you are gambling.
QuiBids is thinly disguised online gambling. Working against your chances of securing a bargain, the clock ticks down on the item you are bidding on BUT rolls back to the top every time someone adds a bid. There is a strong possibility that you are bidding against 'bots' (this has been suggested on several consumer sites), automated bidding that keeps marking up the price.
The company is being investigated by the FTC.

Please Read Through our Site

AUTHOR: J4me10 - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, August 11, 2011

I'm sorry you feel the way you do, but can assure you we are a legitimate online entertainment retail auction site.  One of our goals is to be as transparent as possible and keeping our customers well informed.  We explain everything on our site, how we work/operate, in addition to giving tips and suggestions on how to participate on our site.  Please read through our site as well as in the QuiBids101 section.

All ads we run are examples of what products can sell at.  Great deals happen on our site everyday.  In the event one does not get a deal, he/she can always purchase the product at retail, minus the cost of bids he/she originally put into it. This is our BuyNow feature.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact our support.
