Show customers why they should trust your business over your competitors...

Last August I purchased/won a $50.00 Amazon gift certificate on Quibids.  As I do not personally use Amazon, my thought was to give the gift certificate as a Xmas gift to my daughter - which we did.  She finally attempted to use the certificate this week , only to be advised by Amazon that the certificate had already been redeemed by someone else.  Quibids claims no responsiblity in this, won't investigate because the matter is more than 60 days old ( their policy ), doesn't care that they sold an usuable product.  The gift certificates they claim are provided or sourced and sent out by a 3rd party seller.  What I suspect is that this 3rd party seller tracks the certificate numbers and if they are not redeemed within Quibids 60 policy time period, the same number is reissued and sold.

It is illegal in Canada to issue a gift certificate that expires and Quibids cannot ask their customers to contract out.  If we are not issued a new and valid gift certificate,  I will sue them in small Claims Court.

Quibids - you still haven't dealt with the issue

AUTHOR: Rita Schoebel - (Canada)

You are not dealing with the issue, namely

1.  You or a third party contracted by you issued a gift certificate that cannot be redeemed
2.  It is totally unreasonable for you to expect that a gift certificate be redeemed immediately - had  we attempted to use the certificate within 30 days presumably we may have found out that the certificate was no good and you may have made good
3. We are out the $50.00 we paid for the certificate - Amazon shows the certificate  as already redeemed.

Very simply put, we were issued a worthless gift certificate

Do you intend to make good by issuing a replacement certificate or do you intend to stick us with it.

Defective Return Policy

AUTHOR: J4me10 - (USA)

I am truly sorry that you feel this way. Quibids will always work with the customer to resolve any issue while the product itself is still within the 30 day time period. An item that is discovered to be defective upon receipt can be exchanged, or returned for a refund of the transaction price within 30 days. In the case of this item, it had been months since the item had been purchased.

In the matter of Quibids sending out gift certificates that expire in Canada, as was previously stated, that is not the issue here. The certificate did not in fact expire. At Quibids, we do not send out items that have been used previously. All products on Quibids are brand-new.

Also, we are proud to inform you that all practices involving QuiBids are in no way illegitimate. QuiBids recently passed an independent third-party audit of our integrity and internal controls. The following PDF file explains the audit in full detail:

QuiBids is also a BBB accredited business and has been since September 22, 2010. We are very proud of our A- rating with the BBB. For more information regarding our BBB accreditation, please follow this link:

Hopefully this helps provide some clarification on this topic.
