Don't do business with this company. They advertise themselves as such an easy going company. They promise to get you the loan fast with no hassles, but in reality they asked more and more paperwork from you. They get their deposit and give you all the hard time they can give you. They lie, they don't deliver even for an over qualified client, like me, so I can only imagine what they do for an average person who really need the money.

Hello, Kelly--Gabriel, Don't Waste Your Time!

AUTHOR: QuickenVictim78 - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, August 26, 2010

Don't waste your time with Kelly.  If she keeps popping up out here I think I will post some of the correspondence I have from Quicken showing the REAL Quicken in their own words.  The only thing they will ever do is tell you how right they are and how wrong you are.

My advice--file suit in small claims court where you live. That's what I am getting ready to do.  You won't need a lawyer, but Ms. Kelly will need to pay air fare to fly her employees at Quicken's expense to testify at trial after you subpoena them to show up.  They will have to hire a local lawyer to defend them against your suit.  Do the math.  Win or lose...it's Cha Ching, Cha Ching for Quicken and they wind up paying more than $500 they took from you.

They lied in their advertising.  That's misrepresentation and fraud that was used to induce you into an agreement you would not have otherwise entered into.  Misrepresentation gets you simple damages (you get your $500 plus costs back).  Fraud gets you punitive damages.  You win and they could lose whatever the jury decides to award to punish them for their behavior.

Good luck!

Response from Quicken Loans

AUTHOR: Kelly at QuickenLoans - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, August 26, 2010

Hi Gabriel - I'm Kelly with Quicken Loans. I'm sorry you had a bad experience.

The amount of paperwork required is pretty standard among lenders. I'm sorry if it seems like a lot, but a home loan is a large sum of money and generally requires some documentation and verification.

We're very clear about our deposit policy. It's never charged until a client signs their application, where they agree to and authorize the deposit. Our policy is also clearly covered on our website: https://www.quickenloans.com/about/quicken-loans-deposit

I'm unfamiliar with your specific loan, but I'd like the opportunity to look into and see what happened. Can you contact me? Kelly@QuickenLoans.com

Thanks,

Kelly

In Banks We Trust!

AUTHOR: Bman - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, August 13, 2010

Yes, this is an evil place that defrauds the public, and then insults us by making excuse after excuse as to why their reprehensible behavior is doing business as usual. The commenter stated that they are an honest and ethical lender - from my perspective there are ONLY banks and mortgage companies that exploit the public. Quicken due to its deposit scam tends to be the most obvious.  So like a spider weaving a web, we get ensnared in their web, since we are their targets. To repeat PT Barnums credo Theres a customer born every minute and we keep falling for the hoax that business offers a service. Quicken is obviously a practitioner of this philosophy only they see their customers as suckers.

Sorry to hear that!

Good evening,

I appreciate everyone that goes onto this website and explains their problems with Quicken Loans. I am a mortgage loan officer and we pride ourselves on offering HONEST loans and expectations. There are still great loan officers out there, and I'm sorry you fell victim to yet another company that adds to our stereotype. If you are still interested in refinancing, let me know.

Good luck!
