For two years our family subscribed to Direct T.V. through a bundle program offered by our phone company Qwest (now Century Link).  In recent months our satellite reception began getting worse and worse.  We tried contacting customer service with Direct but was never met with any satisfaction.  Our contract with the service had been up for quite some time so we decided to go with a cable company instead.

We contacted Direct around the beginning of June of 2011 and cancelled our service.  In the meantime we continued to pay the Direct portion on our Qwest bill (Direct billed us via Qwest).  Direct sent us a box for our satellite boxes, those were sent back and they mailed us a refund check.  Meanwhile Qwest is continuing to this day to bill us for our Direct service...even though we have not had them since the beginning of June.

\We have contacted both companies.  Direct told us that they informed Qwest that we no longer subscribed and we owe them nothing...in fact we just receieved a check from them for the amount we overpaid.  According to Qwest though we still owe Direct money and will continue to be billed for the service every month.

This makes no sense and we are sick of playing back and forth blame game between these two companies.
