Hi my name is shaun i work for qwest in the logan sales center. today i was called in to a room to talk about my performance. The reason all this happend is because i gave customers to much credit on there bill.

Let me explain qwests bundle is not all it is cracked up to be they offer a great price for a certain amount of time but your bill will never reflect what you actually will spend a month. So me being a qwest employee was told if you see something wrong on a customers bill credit it back. NOT TRUE if you credit this back you will get terminated. qwest also has this problem with tere cell phon servcie they lock you in to a 2 year commitment then they raise the price of the service. so you will never get the correct price you were quoted also on the internet price for life they charge you the 26.99 with a 2 year commitment then they charge you a modem rental fee wich could be 5.00 a month or 8.00. If you ren the modem with qwest and discontinue servcie they want it back and you have paid for it about three times by then. they willever credit you back the charge. Me personally i would that was the problem so they suspended me for this qwest does not want you to save thy want you to pay an outreageous amount so they can make money. for instance you have a problem with your bill you call we access your account fix your problem and we are required to try and sell you something if we dont make a certain amount of sales we get canned. so think about that when you call about your bill. Also if your more than 3 days late on your bill they will shutoff your entire account and make you start a new one so they can charge you activations on the account. and disconnection fees on the old one. So qwest really isnt worth it there home phone is a ripoff and you can never win with them .

easy solution to problems with qwest

AUTHOR: Jon - (U.S.A.)

You can FIRE them!!! Thats what i did. I got fed up with my phone bill getting doubled and my fax line getting hit with all the same taxes. There are many options to go with these days using VOIP. Thats what i did. Yes, there are some initial expenses with starting a new company, but if you can get past that, you will feel the satisfaction of knowing you have just cost Qwest a little money. Just think, if enough people did the same thing as me, Qwest might start to get the idea that they are not appreciated and that there are better options out there.

#3 UPDATE Employee

You gotta be disgruntled. Becuase what you're saying is wrong.

I remember when the Logan call center opened so I know I've worked for Qwest longer then you and I see accounts daily that have 3-5 year old wireless plans. These plans are not changed unless the customer requests a change.

I have several customers who refuse to deal with the call centers because of reps making unrequested changes to their accounts but as a company Qwest does not change wireless services with one exception: if you have a plan that is so antiquated it is no ,longer being supported by Qwest. (Example: The sweet $89.99 unlimited plan was discontinued six years ago and Qwest notified all customers with this plan and gave them the choice to move to a $104.99 unlimited use plan {that is still a cherry deal that employee's can't even get} or disconnect their service before a systems upgrade was made that rendered this dinosaur plan without a way to be maintained.) These plans had been non renewable for years so customers with these were not in contract anyway!!!

#2 UPDATE Employee

False.

As far as Qwest customers not getting their promised prices in a billing center such as the one the former employee worked in our job is to fix bills that have errors. Of course the numbers are skewed then to seem like no one gets the price they were quoted the ones who do don't call in.

Secondly, the modem prices are available in two options and flavors rental or purchase, i recommend purchases to all my customers so they don't pay for a modem more than once. Whats odd is if your customer purchases the modem, your get double the sales credit versus a rental, in fact its in the employee's and the customers benefit to purchase the modem. However even with double the sales credit we are talking a rental versus a purchase on a modem makes about .005 on our paycheck hardly worth talking someone out of a rental if they don't want to purchase.

the Crediting policy, Qwest CSSA's and CSA's have a credit limit, your allowed to exceed this limit but it must be approved by your supervisor. If you were abusing that policy that would warrant termination which you were told about during training.

As far as qwest trying to hike prices, and make you pay more thats actually absurd in the market place today if qwest did have that in mind, we would not have any customers period. Its through providing our promise of value and keeping it to our customers that we are in business and that our business is growing.

Also i have dealt with customers who have not paid a bill in 3 months because they have been great customers with qwest before they have been sent out a disconnect notice.

#1 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Someone sounds bitter!

AUTHOR: Donald - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, July 16, 2007

It sounds as if you're just a bitter ex employee. Read below:

-Qwest does not terminate employees that issue credit. If you were term'd for this, you definitely had to be abusing your credit priviledges.

-Qwest does not just all of a sudden raise the price of PCS service.

-You failed to mention people who rent the modem do have the option to purchase it up front so they don't pay more than they have to. People understand this....the real life example of renting an apt. vs buying a house.

-Qwest DOES want its customers to save money. A company wants happy customers because they continue to spend money.

-Qwest reps do have a sales quota. I don't know why you're upset, they say that when you GET the job. Just because a rep has a quota, doesn't mean a cust will get bad service. Finding a usefuly product at a great price IS GOOD SERVICE for a customer.

-Qwest only charges the reactivation fee on the home line only, not the other services. Plus, its not 3 days, services are susp for 10 days before they are fully disconnect.
