Letter sent to RW Selby Corp. Regarding my Rip Off March 8, 2017 R W Selby Corporation Office 11661 San Vicente Blvd Fifth Floor Los Anglees, Ca 90049 How can your Big Corporation get away with charging hard working people with fees that you should be responsible for. Your property surroundings at the Villas Monarch are beyond clean. Your gardeners mow dirt that continued to shoot into our unit. Leaving the carpet and windows and screens filled with dirt and dust including our patio area. We made several complaints but it was never taken care of. Dog feses all over the property because tenants can not go by the rules. Police Department dealing with unruly tenants all the time. Skate borders all over the place. Never any parking if you leave at night only having to come back and park up a hill where there is no security. Your laundry room cost so much more then a normal laudramat on top of your machines damaging our bedding and clothes. Machines breaking down just to put more money in another machine to get the laundry done. As far as charging us for new carpet saying our pet saturated the carpet. Why would I let my pet do this. He might have had an accident but he's a little dog, he doesn't saturate anything. Charging for cleaning which I left much cleaner prior to our move in.

Our bathrooms were disgusting when we moved in. Couldn't see out of the shower glass do to hard water spots. I made an effort and took time to make them clean the day we moved in that apartment. Prior to telling your employee Katy we were moving out I was informed rudly that I would have to pay the additional days of a 60 day notice I over looked. But I was not given anything certified of this notice. But she added 1/31/2017 which I paid for the whole month for January 2017. Why a late fee of $94.75? We moved out of the complex on January 24, 2017. She convinently added more to what she had told me prior. Copy is attached of what she gave me. She never mentioned the charge for 1/31/2017 or a late fee. When we found a place to move , the landlord who we wanted to rent from continued to call your employee Katy. She would not return his call to let him know we were in good standing and we were never late. She ignored his calls. My husband went into the office and asked her to please call. She told him very rudely again she was too busy and when she found time she would call him since she was so overwhelmed with work. Again the realtor emailed her and also called her needing a response from her that day so the party we wanted to rent from could make a decision who he was going to rent his place too.

Well she did not respond that day until she walked out after her full day of work which was too late. Seemed intentional! We desperately needed that place and since she couldn't find one minute to call anyone back , we ended up having to pay a higher security deposit no thanks to her. She found three minutes to smoke a cigarette but not give us one minute to provide information of our payments not being late. The utilitiy bill company that RW Selby uses charges the tenants for heating their water, termite fee and administration fee. Why should tenents pay for Administration fee for a company you hired, why should we pay for heating our water, why should we pay for your termites on your building we are only renting?

I have enclosed several complaints regarding your company and pictures of your Luxury Apartment . Which I will continue to post because I can and have lots of time to do so. I would like you to reimburse us back for the last day of January 31, the late fee and the cleaning fee. Since we were in Good standing for a year with The Villas, and the way your employee Katy treated us, you should ignore the days of Feburary but I won't hold my breath on that request. Katy ended up putting us in a tuff financial situation with the deposit being $4500 instead of $2500 because she couldn't find that one minute. Your customer service is the worst ever, but hiring people like your manager Katy is what you get. DISRESPECTFUL AND RUDE! We will file in smalls claims for what we are requesting if I do not hear from you within 10 days. We are out so much money from this unprofessional experience. Fred T,  Loretta M T
