Here was my experience with Rabbit Ratings.

THE SITE IS RUN BY ONE OF THE CONTRACTORS THAT WAS BEING REVIEWED AND HIS FAMILY – Of course that is not disclosed by the website. I was ripped off by Ken Adams and All Together Construction after hiring him as a Rabbit Rating Elite Contractor and hearing their ads where they boast about All Together Construction being elite and 5 –star and whatnot. After Ken Adams cashed my checks, started the job and then disappeared with my money and my home torn apart I looked into him. Turns out, Ken Adams and his family also operate Rabbit Ratings – conflict of interest anyone? The person being reviewed under the guise of a 3rd party review site also controls the website in which the reviews can be found? Paula Adams is shown in their ads as the co-founder and the phone number to All Together Construction and Rabbit Ratings was identical (he changed it after I called him out on it) and also, when I emailed Rabbit Ratings who responded? Ken Adams. What phone number did he use, the number to All Together Construction (his cell phone). He says he is not the “owner”, but he certainly has a hand in the operation and his wife is the co-founder. And how does Ken operate his businesses? He used to operate Dream Works Home Improvement LLC. Go ahead and look at the F rating and complaints on the Better Business Bureau website. Or look at the BBB complaints for All Together Construction. You be the judge. In a nutshell, Ken Adams gets horrible reviews on BBB for Dream Works, closes up shop on that company, his wife creates a “review” website that he helps operate, starts a new company (All Together Construction), and then uses Rabbit Ratings, under the guise of a neutral 3rd party review website, to promote his business as “elite” and “5-star” and to push unassuming consumers into his arms where people like me get ripped off. I also found that Rabbit Ratings had 5-star reviews listed for All Together Construction dated before All Together Construction even existed according to the documents obtained from the Ohio Secretary of State. Read the complaints and reviews for Dream Works Home Improvement LLC and All Together Construction and you decide.

TWO 5-STAR CONTRACTORS FROM THE WEBSITE RIPPED ME OFF – I already mentioned All Together Construction, but Ken also sub contracted out my floors to another 5-star Rabbit Rated company. The end result – my floors are orange, not wood colored, debris is stuck in the poly everywhere, you can see divots in the wood where he dropped the drum, there are spots that were never sanded and instead stain was just rolled over the existing floor with a paint roller, spots that were not stained at all, footprints in the poly, etc. Since I had paid All Together for the work and he subsequently sub contracted it out I asked for a refund and of course he will not refund any of the money.

THE BUSINESSES ARE THE RABBIT RATINGS CUSTOMER, NOT THE END CONSUMER – The businesses listed on Rabbit Ratings pay to be on there – more of an advertisement website than a review website if you ask me.  That said, Rabbit Ratings then has a vested interest in making sure those businesses remain happy because that is their revenue source, not the end consumer. To quote a Rabbit Ratings paid advertisement, the interviewer asks how they verify the reviews and Paula Adams states “Because we‘re local and we actually go to some of the places to review them ourselves.” So they pay Rabbit Ratings and Rabbit Ratings goes and reviews them? Sounds like a significant conflict of interest to me!

RABBIT RATINGS RAN OTHER CONTRACTORS NOT WORKING ON MY HOME INTO MY HOUSE AND SHOT AND AIRED COMMERCIALS WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE OR CONSENT - While Ken Adams was tearing apart my house, he waited for us to leave one day and then brought Rabbit Ratings clients (other contractors from the Rabbit Ratings website) into my house without my consent or knowledge, filmed a commercial, then aired that commercial for Rabbit Ratings of my personal property on Channel 19, the Rabbit Ratings website and You Tube, and then got them all out of my house before I came home so I wouldn’t know. I only found out when I saw the video posted on their website for The Fix It Wizard - a contractor I have never had any dealings with, yet there he was in my home and in a commercial being aired on Channel 19. Does it sound like you can trust Rabbit Ratings contractors in your home while you are not there?

So ask yourself after reading of my experience with Rabbit Ratings, do you trust the reviews of a website where the customer is the business that is being reviewed instead of the end consumer – like Rabbit Ratings? Or one where the site is operated at least in part by the person that is also operating one of the companies that was reviewed on the website – like Rabbit Ratings? Or one where the site is operated at least in part by a person that was also responsible for running Dream Works Home Improvement LLC and All Together Construction (see their BBB reviews) – like Rabbit Ratings? My opinion, especially after my horrible experience with Rabbit Ratings, is that I will only trust review sites where the end consumer is the customer and/or it is free to all parties to avoid these significant conflicts of interest.

For companies considering advertising with Rabbit Ratings – I am not a business, so I can’t comment on the experience you may have, but after reading the reviews of All Together Construction and Dream Works Home Improvement LLC and the experience I had I guess it is up to you if you choose to do business with this company. But I will say, if something ever goes wrong, if the website goes down or is shut down Like Dream Works Home Improvement was, or if you have a dispute with Rabbit Ratings, how do you think it will be handled? Choose wisely.

Kenneth W Adams/Rabbit Ratings

AUTHOR: avoidKenAdams - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, February 27, 2016

THIS REBUTTAL PROVIES INFORMATION THAT SUPPORTS THE RIP OFF REPORT.

Kenneth W Adams of All Together Construction LLC did some work on my house towards the end of September.  Soon afterr the project was completed, I noticed parts of the job where the work was shoddy. I contacted Ken in October and was disapppointed when Ken was non-responsive to my complaints.

Naturally, at that point, I wanted to leave a complaint on the RabbitRatings.com web site.  I discovered that All Together Construction was nowhere to be found on the site.  I called the number provided on the site (440-xx3-xxx7 partially redacted to protect privacy).  The woman that I spoke to said that this was her private number.  She worked for rabbitratings.com at one time (apparently from home) but was no longer affiliated with the web site.  NOW HERE'S THE IMPORTANT PART:  When I mentioned All Together Construction and Ken Adams, she volunteered that Kenneth Adams was ALSO THE OWNER OF THE RABBITRATINGS.COM WEB SITE.

Now, I am suspecting a clear conflict of interest.  This conflict of interest might explain why All Together Construction was received 5 star rabbit ratings for 2014 and 2015 and yet can only muster a D+ BBB Busines Review.  The 5 star ratings for 2014 and 2015 were included in a Max ValuesMag August advertisement. Also, Kenneth Adam's business card indicates a 5 star rating for 2014.

A separate but related issue: All Together Construction's business filing occurred on January 12th of 2015.  How can it have a 5 star rabbit rating for 2014 when it did not exist in 2014??

I do not trust Ken Adams. Nor would I now trust the ratings on rabbitratings.com.  Consumers would be better off using ripoff report, the BBB, or Angie's list.  It's an issue of trust and I do not trust Ken Adam. AVOID RABBIT RATINGS IN SELECTING A CONTRACTOR.  YOU MIGHT FIND YOURSELF GETTING RIPPED OFF.
