Think about why you decided to do business with RAC Acceptance. Was it b/c you have no credit, need to establish credit, poor credit and need to rebuilt your credit? What ever the reason, you signed a contract agreeing to make monthly payments on the merchandise you will own once you have paid it off.  Meanwhile, the merchandise remains property of RAC until you have completely paid for it. On the flip side, if you do not comply with this legal document you took time to read before you willingly signed it, RAC reserves the right to repossess it and report it the credit bureaus.  You can pay it off at anytime.

It's fair. You make your monthly payments "on time" and establish good credit and become trusted by lenders to loan you money in the future.  You default, then it's only your fault.  No one else was willing to risk doing business with you except RAC. If you stop making payments, the merchandise in  your possession is considered stolen and you can faced criminal charges aka a felony.

If you don't like the terms of the contract, return the furniture! If you can't be responsible and pay your bills on time, that's your fault and  no one else.
