Virtual Homes Realty Black Mold Growth nothing done palm coast Florida

On Juy 3,2013, My husband and I reported to Virtual Homes Realty that some stucco had come off the back of our house and that the rain is getting in between the outside wall and the upstairs airconditioner wall. They sent a gentlemen out to look at it at. The gentleman went in the back, took some pictures, did a moisture reading, and told us that this is a serious problem and needs to be taken care of ASAP. He told me that he was going to call Virtual homes and let them know. When the middle of August came around and only 2 individuals had come out and nothing was done, I reported it again. This time they sent more individuals out to look at it. A moisture reading was dne upstairs on the inside of the room. The gentleman said to me that there is a high moisture and mold reading, but he could do nothing till the outside wall was taken care of. All this time I found myself not feeling well.

On August 27,2013 I was taken by ambulance to the hospital and hospitalized for 7 days. They found a major infection attributed to the mold. I went in after I go ut of the hospital and talked to Alina. She told me she would let me move, break my lease, and she was so sorry. I told her I was no longer staying there and my family hasn't been since I went into the hospital. She then send another individual out to my house to take "measurments" that were needed upstairs. When her guy went upstairs he took pictures of the air conditioner reader with his humidity reader next to it. Keep in mind, we haven't been there in a few weeks nd we have the windows open because we have been packing stuff to move and want as little mold up there as possible. He also took pictures of the floor stating it was rat feces. Alina told me that the rat feces is why I was  in the hospital, not the 2 months worth of water, darkness, and dampness behind the wall mold. There was shavings from the cage, no feces. She said we are really dirty people and we shouldn't be living like that. FIrst of all, he took pictures as we have been packing and moving, so of course there is going to be stuff everywhere. Needless to say, she said I am not moving you like originally said. She also stated she would never rent to me again, but that I always pay my rent on time and I am a good tenant. REALLY?!?!?! Needless to say we need to go the legal route. I have withheld rent for the month of September. We also have to pay rent at the place we are staying at so we have a roof over our heads. I just can't believe that these rental agencies think it's ok to do this to people and get away with it. Just plain rediculous!
