We called Radco Ac out to repair a leak we have in our air duct over our kitchen in the ceiling causing the separation of our drywall and the ceiling to drop and drip water. Rob said we needed to add three new receivers. Our home is 1600sq ft with two large receivers already. Rob also wants to replace all our duct work in the bedrooms and kitchen because he thinks our ducts were the wrong size. We let them. The price went up from 900.00 to 1200.00 paid in full before the job. Four days after they "fixed" the leak and "replaced all the duct work" our ceiling collapsed. Now not only did we have a hole 8ft by 7ft in the kitchen but our ac would not cool the house below 74 after the repair of the ceiling drywall of course. Clearly anyone can see the ducts over the kitchen were never replaced liked Rob stated they would be, but the ducts that were replaced, are not installed, or sealed correctly. I called the company back to let Rob know what has happened only to have him yell at me and feel guilty about calling. Rob said he would come back out and take a look but he wanted to remind me when he originally came out he said he might have to do more work and there could be a bigger problem. This was not true! When Rob first came out I asked how three receivers in the bedrooms and new ducts could solve the issue in our kitchen. Rob told me it would circulate the air in the attic drying the perspiration up. As of today none of the work done was necessary. The only duct they should have replaced was the 5' duct above the kitchen solving all our problems. Now we are stuck paying this new contractor to replace the 5' duct and repair everything not done right.
