Radio Shack Fraudulent sale in Sunnyside, New York
*Author of original report: Radio Shack has eventually replaced the goods.
*UPDATE Employee: Warranty
Radio Shack sold me a defective earphone (cable was cut) and refused to replace them or refund them, despite the fact that I purchased the warranty. The store is on the corned of the 45th Street and Queens Blvd. in Queens, New York City.
The store manager, his name is Bashar, was rude and mocking. He has even told me that he will not refund the merchandise, not even if the Radio Shacke CEO himself calls me. The amount of money is very small, $26.11, but I hate to be defrauded like this.

Radio Shack replaced the headset, after my report to BBB (Better Business Bureau). It was an unpleasant affair, but now is over.

Hello,
I am sorry that the manager at your local Radio Shack was not able to advise you on your options with your headphones.
However, I have some advice that may make you feel better. You purchased the extended warranty, and you have your receipt information. Since it seems you do no wish to visit that Radio Shack again, may I advise you to go the next closest location to file the claim. If you do not want to do that, please visit. www.rsserviceplan.com
There you can file your warranty claim from home, and once you have sent the item off (you will receive a free FedEx label) you will receive an e-gift card to your email in 3-5 business days.
As for your experience in trying to return the headphones, Radio Shack has a 30 day return policy. When an extended warranty is purchased, but the product fails within the initial 30 days... it can be exchanged in store. EXCEPT when there is physical damage to the product. The reason, it seems, that the store manager did not do the return, was because of the cut cable. However, he should have advised you to wait out the 30 days and then file your warranty claim.
Hope this helps.
