Rails Dog, aka DirectNorth LLC, aka Timmothy Connolly, aka Daniel Honig (they are from NJ/NY), systematically scam their independent contrator developers. I can provide you access to at least 10 more devs that are unpaid thousands of dollars, I can share emails, Skype transcripts, my debt collection agency (which has another person they tried to collect for in the past), and anything you want. Just email me at railsdogsucks@gmail.com. Also, if DirectNorth/Rails Dog/ Tim or Dan are reading this, you know you can contact me (maybe even unblock me on skype), and we can talk about making this right. Until then, I have to report to the world what you are doing. To all other developers working there- they will start off by paying you, then they soften you up, by asking if you can wait a few days to get paid, then one time it will be weeks, then this is how they get you..then there will be tons of stories about how a client didn't pay, & they are colecting, but with over 10 developers all at once across diff projects and you owe me over a month of pay via net 30?  It doesn't add up. They will also try to crap on your timesheets or say you were working on something that was not authorized by your manager and it's his fault or who's fault? Then when you stand up to that, they will act like they didn't say that, just like if you request to talk to my collections agency, they will tell you how Timmothy Connolly said he wasn going to pay via installments, then fell of the planet. Anyways, anyone that is reading this, I can give more deails. Just email me at railsdogsucks@gmail.com or Timmothy Connolly or Daniel Honig can contact me about making this right. Also, if you don't pay soon, I'm going to contact all the devs in question, and show them how to make their reports public too. Today is Aug 27. I'll be sharing this with everyone, no later than Sept 27. Then you will have to deal with all of them. Here are their pics, in case they take their site down, app.box.com/s/qeevcalm1ehstketl7s1yltndbgwif9o ... app.box.com/s/8tomxsrhxewnnypcsj9rs28pj2cyhppu

#2 REBUTTAL Individual responds

Please Read SubVendor Contract

AUTHOR: Timothy Connolly - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, January 20, 2017

The way in which our business was structured, if we were engaged in large projects, we would sub-contract our software development work to our network of developers. Over the course of about 5 years we worked with more than 50 contractors. The aggreement we had was very rigourous, but protected the company, as well as the client from lawsuits.

Where this has caused people to write a ripoff report is due to a clause in the contract that very clearly explains that IF the client does not APPROVE or otherwise PAY for the hours and deliverables. Then those hours would NOT be paid to the contractor. This approval process was done on a weekly basis via timesheets, and it was very clear to the contractors working on the project, which development was approved or not approved.

What you see here is a situation where some individuals are claiming that they were "ripped off" if they were in fact ripped off that would mean that the company received funds and then did not pay the contractor. This was not the case at all.

The most extreme situation would be a developer taking 8-10 hours to perform a task that should have only taken 1-2 hours to complete. The client would notice this situation and not pay for the extra time. We would then figure out a negotiable middle ground with the client and move on to the next project. We used a very fair sub-vendor agreement which is based on a mixture of major consulting firm contracts for this exact reason.

#1 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Good luck having your invoices paid

AUTHOR: RoRDevlopr - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, August 28, 2015

They'll find ways to *** you down on the money they owe you anywhere they can or all out deny your invoices and expenses. Company is lead by narcissistic, misogynistic, appauling people who will do anything to take advantage of software engineers. I can confirm everything posted by railsdogsucks@gmail.com because I've been through it myself and have seen it happen to many other developers.
