We contacted Rain Soft Water to solve a problem with the rotten egg smell in our well water. They came into our home and performed some water test and assured us that they could solve our water problem with ther equipment. The salesman told us that unless we bought the entire package of equipment that he could not garentee it. So we did , all $5,641.00 of it.

The smell did not go away. So I called them up and they sent over a plummer technition that installs their equipment on a daily bases. He told us the problem was in our hot water heater, not with there equipment.

You see hot water heaters contain an annoid that is sort of a Giant solid 3/4 inch rod that threads into the top of your water heater. It is about four foot long and there to be a sacrificial lamb so to speak protecting the system from electrolasis attacking the water pipes and heater from the
inside out. If we lived in town and had chorinated water this annoid would not of caused that awfull smell. But we live in the country and share a well with 12 other familys so our water is not choronated.

So the smell was solved by simply removing the 3/4 inch pipe plug that is attached to the 48 inch annoid after shuttin off the water.And replacing it with a 75 cent pipe plug. They refused to remove the $5641.00 worth of their equipment and return our money to us.

I fully believe since they profess to be the best in the business that salesman new exactly what he was doing when he tested our water and telling us that was how to get rid of that awfull rotten egg smell.
