In 2008, my finance was a Home Depot when a sales person from Rainsoft approached him. He made his sales pinch, so my finance agreed for him to come to his residence where he was renting. He fell victim to the in house consultation. He purchased the unit for $3,000. He explained that the system would be paid off in four years paying the $68 a month. Then the system would pay for itself after that, because it would be free and clear. What a lie, in fact it has all been lies. After two year the bill was goin up past $ 3000 of the original $3,000. Then Rainsoft sent him a letter stated, that another finance company took over. He was never told that it was a revolving line of credit, which is similar to a credit card, but you do not find this out until over a month later when you get your first bill. Also such wonderful things were promised.

Dry itchy skin, cradle cap, soap scum in the tub, and ring in the toilet would dissappear. [continued below]....
..... Our clothes would last longer. We'd use less soap, detergent, and we'd no longer need conditioner.No such things happened. We still have scalp problems and itchy skin. The scum in the tub is still there (even after cleaning) We still need regular detergent (the stuff they gave us with the system stained our clothes) and conditioner.

While living where he rented, he had many problems with the system, salt was gone too soon, the timer was defective, etc.... Everytime they came out he was charged $65.

In June 2011, he bought his own home. My finance called Rainsoft to install the system in his new home. They were charging him outrageous price to move the unit & for installation. My finance moved the unit himself to his new home. They continued to call & offer him to install the unit at different prices. When they lowered the price which was $ 345, he agreed. On 2-5-13 the unit was installed. We then noticed that are water bill spiked up every month after that. We went to the utility company regarding are bills, they immediately said that we had a leak somewhere.A service guy came out from the utility company & told us, who ever installed, created a leak. Not only have the promises not been fulfilled, the system was POORLY installed, which caused an underground leak. We called Rainsoft, & of course they wanted to come out when there was no one home. I refused, until they came out on 4-3, same guy & said that there was nothing he can do about the leak & of course he didn't want to take the blame. So now we have to break our driveway to find the leak that he caused when installing. We Never had any problems with our water usage or consumption, until they came out.

I'm overwhelmed & upset that they can get away with this. Who knows what we are going to spend This is a nightmare!!!!!

Please do not let Rainsoft in your home!!!!! They will rip you off!!! Just like it is happening to us. If any has any info, as how to get this company. Please let us know.
