After deciding to hire this lawyer to help with a pending criminal matter Mr. Steven Raiser was very charming and made you feel comfortable. He was in fact very polite and appeared truly interested in helping.
As the case progressed he kept things moving to keep the payment plan in place.
Mr. Raiser's answer was always "let me check the file" with no definitive plan or at best a misleading response.
At some point when things starting going sideways.I asked for copies ofdocuments or conformation of what was to be done was done-THEY WERE NEVER DONE.
This attorney will not return phone calls texts or emails.Don't attempt to reach him in hours other then 9-5
Mr Raiser will make statements on strategy and when things work to your advantage there is no benefit.
Mr. Raiser will accept money for services other then legal advice-and not do the services promised for example an expert witness and apply the money to Mr. Raiser fees.
Lastly when you call Mr. Raiser out on his in effective assistance he threatens to get off the case.Until he finally does ask the judge to be relieved

This former client and I worked out our disagreement that led to his posting. I did all the work that was promised, handled the case thoroughly and ethically and in fact did return any expert fees that were not spent on expert services. I got out of the case once I realized there was a personality conflict. I did not want any issues to persist and interfere with my representing him to the best of my ability. Before the case went into litigation I asked the judge to relieve me which he did. I did this at a very early stage of the case allowing the client to retain new counsel, which he did. This site will not allow him to remove this post despite the fact that he is willing to do so.
