i hired j.k.harris to take care of some back taxes. i gave them 2500 up front.i sent in the necessary papers 3 times and i finally called and told them i thought i had sent in enough. they looked then and said they could not help me so i asked for my money back. they said they could not refund it all but wrote me a letter saying they would refund 1500 of it .then they mailed me a letter to sign that i would accept the 1500 and would receive it within 90 days. the 90 days came and went and i called they said i would get it in january that passed too.i called again they said april,still nothing. i called again this time i did not even get a answer although i dont think it would have done any good

I have heard taking JK Harris & Co to small claims court might be the best remedy. WHat you do is to take the sales consultant and JK harris to small claims court. There are a few people on this site that have successfully taking JK harris and won in small claims court. Read reports from others on ripoff report and Peter from Salem has written on how to take JK harris & co to small claims court. I suggest that you do this quickly. Once JK harris & co is exposed even more, it may become more difficult to make them pay. I also like the idea of contacting local tv/news media and protesting outside of their once a week nationwide offices (this will absolutely make life miserable for their salesperson). I also would write to JOsh Baker, vice president of Marekting and Communications for JK harris & Co. I would tell him that you are planning to take JK Harris & Co and their local sales rep to small claims court. Tell him also that you will protest outside their local office and pass out fliers.
