In checking with the child support services, They show that Ralph is still has an outstanding balance of several thousand dollars.

After a long battle (about 9 years) to collect the arrears in child support owed by Ralph Melvin Covell of Cambria, CA (also owner in Westridge Financial Services,LLC in Nevada as well as California Clydesdales) I have finally collected the arrears owed. Thank you to Rebecca Rider of the San Diego Child Support Services for calling me with the good news.

It has been a long battle, with years of Ralph avoiding the payment of the arrears of child support, despite selling millions of dollars in real estate. But finally he has paid the arrears. I am in hopes that he will continue to pay the current support and not start the cycle all over again.

Thank you Ralph, the one thing you have done for the girls and I is taught us to fight for what is ours and not let anyone walk on us. We may have had to struggle to keep afloat, but at least we did it through hard work and not stepping on peoples throats, and the best part is it kept us together and very close as a family and a happy family at that.

Ralph Covell continues to not pay the arrears in child support. Last year, Ralph Covell purchased over $60,000 in Horses from the National Clydesdales Breeders sale in Springfield Ill. This year he purchased over $10,000 in horses from the same sale. Interesting enough Ralph Covell owes over $70,000 in arrears in child support/alimony. He feels that his hobby of Raising Clydesdale horse is much more important then paying his child support.

Mr. Covell's business partner in Westridge Financial Services and his attorney, William Bradley Dyer continues to send offers for less then what Ralph Covell owes for the child support. William Dyer Claims that Mr. Covell will "attempt to take out a loan in the amount of $50,000" Mr. Covell is part owner in Westridge Financial Services in Nevada. He was able to secure a loan for $950,000 to start the business, despite his claim under oath during a child support modification hearing, that he had tried to take a loan out and was unable to.
Westridge Financial Services is listed as a collection agency. I found where Westridge has taken people to court to make the "collections" and succeeded. Yet Mr. Dyer was able to convince the State agencies that Westridge Financial Services was not a collection agency and allow Ralph Covell to continue the operation.In the state of Nevada you can not own a collection agency if you owe child support.

Now Mr. Dyer claims that the San Diego Child Support services will approve a payment plan for a s little as $500 per month for Ralph Covell to pay the over $70,000 in arrears. His letter goes on to state that" under this scenario, Ralph would agree to make the minimum monthly payment; however, there is no guarantee that he would be able to continue this plan". In short, once the San Diego Child Support Services releases Ralph Covell's driver license he will once again quit paying.

Mr. Dyer continues his letter with the fact that Ralph Covell still owes over $30,000 in legal fees because of the modification in child support I requested. At the time that the modification began, which took over 3 years, Ralph Covell owed just over $30,000 and had an income of over $36,000 PER MONTH.

I, on the other hand still owe over $80,000 for attorney fees on the same case, all because San Diego Child Support Services did not throw Ralph Melvin Covell in jail for contempt of Court when he refused to supply his income information.
The Town Of Cambria, CA have a BBQ at Ralph 1,700 acre ranch each year. If you visit the town of Cambria, which is just 11 miles south of Hearst Castle, remember that the whole backside of the town is owned by a man who refuses to pay the arrears in his child support, thinks having over 60 head of Clydesdale horses as a hobby is much more important then helping his kids in collage and who thinks that he is above the law.
If you are looking for a Collection Agency or Mortgage Broker, please think twice about using Westridge Financial Services. Although in most cases the money might go to helping pay the arrears in child support, in this case you will be benifitting a man who can afford to but refuses to pay his child support.

Ralph Melvin Covell has in the past beat me, breaking my nose and cheekbone and leaving strangulation marks around my neck. I know that the man is violent when agitated. Mr. Dyer has instructed me to remove "all negative information or messages you have posted on the Internet regarding Ralph, his business and his family" so I hope that I am here to update this at some point when he is finally forced to pay his debts. I thank this website for allowing me to share with the world what type of a person Ralph Covell and his business partner, William Dyer are.

The San Diego Child Support Services has the ability to throw Ralph Covell in jail for intentionally not paying the arrears. Yet they sit on their hands. If Ralph were not self employeed he would be in jail by now, but San Diego Child Support Services just ignores the situation.
